Apple has officially introduced the AirPods Max 2. It brings an improved Active Noise Cancellation, enhanced sound quality, and smarter features thanks to the new H2 chip. The latest premium over-ear headphones aim to deliver a more immersive listening experience while expanding creative capabilities for professionals and everyday users.
Stronger ANC and upgraded sound performance
The new AirPods Max 2 feature up to 1.5x more effective Active Noise Cancellation, helping reduce environmental noise. Transparency mode has also been improved through advanced computational audio. Audio performance has been improved with a new high dynamic range amplifier, resulting in cleaner output, more accurate bass response, and clearer mids and highs. Personalized Spatial Audio is further enhanced, delivering more precise sound positioning for music, movies, and gaming.
For creators and professionals, AirPods Max 2 now support 24-bit, 48kHz lossless audio via USB-C.
Intelligent features powered by H2 and Apple Intelligence
With the H2 chip, AirPods Max 2 introduce intelligent features designed to adapt to user behavior and surroundings. Adaptive Audio automatically balances ANC and Transparency levels, while Conversation Awareness reduces media volume when users begin speaking.
New capabilities also include Live Translation for multilingual communication, Voice Isolation for clearer calls, and camera remote functionality that allows users to control photo and video capture using the Digital Crown. Studio-quality audio recording further enhances usability for podcasters, musicians, and creators.
Additional features such as Loud Sound Reduction, Personalized Volume adjustments, and hands-free Siri interactions provide a more intuitive and comfortable listening experience throughout the day.
Design, colors, and availability
AirPods Max 2 retain Apple’s premium over-ear design and will be available in midnight, starlight, orange, purple, and blue. The headphones are expected to launch in the Philippines soon, with pricing starting at PHP 34,990/CAD 799.
