Apple is expected to announce several hardware updates this year from the iPhone up to the Macs. According to a new report from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the upcoming releases will focus on refreshed internals and affordable devices.

iPhone 17e

One of the key additions is the iPhone 17e, which is expected to join the iPhone 17 family as a more affordable model. The device is positioned to replace or succeed the current entry-level iPhone offering. The smartphone is expected to come with the same pricing but adds more features including Magsafe charging and also a more powerful A19 chip inside.

All-new affordable iPads

On the tablet side, Apple is also said to be preparing a new entry-level iPad with A18 chip inside, alongside an updated iPad Air. Both models are expected to receive hardware upgrades, potentially including newer processors and improved efficiency, while maintaining familiar designs.

Macs: M5 Upgrades and a New Affordable MacBook

For laptops, Apple is reportedly developing new MacBook Pro models, likely powered by the next generation of Apple silicon which are the M5 Pro and M5 Max. These updates are expected to focus on performance and efficiency gains, continuing Apple’s annual chip refresh cycle for its professional notebooks.

Additionally, Apple is said to be working on a low-cost MacBook, expected in the first half of the year. The device is rumored to feature a sub-13-inch display and use an iPhone-class chipset, allowing Apple to compete more directly with budget Windows laptops and Chromebooks while expanding the Mac ecosystem to new users.
