Apple has officially announced the new MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro, all powered by the M5 chip, bringing major performance, efficiency, and AI improvements across these new product lineup.
MacBook Pro is more powerful with M5 chip
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro introduces the M5 chip built on 3nm architecture. The chip features up to 12 CPU cores, 40 GPU cores, and support for up to 128GB unified memory. Apple claims up to 30% faster performance than the M4 Pro, with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and better power efficiency. It also debuts a new Liquid Retina XDR display with 1000 nits sustained brightness, ProMotion 120Hz, and an 8K-capable HDMI output.
iPad Pro M5
The latest iPad Pro gains the same M5 chip, boosting CPU speeds by 20% and GPU performance by 40%. It supports up to 2TB of storage, Thunderbolt 5, and Apple Pencil Pro 2. It still comes in 11″ and 13″ variants and with its Ultra Retina XDR display now features HDR 1600 nits peak brightness, adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, and improved color accuracy for professional-grade visuals.
Vision Pro with M5
Apple’s Vision Pro headset now runs on the M5 chip paired with the R1 processor, offering faster performance and better visuals with a 10% pixel increase on its dual micro-OLED displays. It introduces visionOS 26, Apple Immersive content, and a redesigned Dual Knit Band for comfort. Battery life extends to 2.5 hours, with faster AI processing through a 16-core Neural Engine.
Availability
The M5 MacBook Pro, M5 iPad Pro, and Vision Pro with M5 are available for pre-order starting October 16, with in-store availability beginning October 22, 2025.
