ASUS has unveiled the ROG XREAL Glasses R1, a wearable augmented reality display that is designed to project large virtual screens for gaming on both PC and supported consoles. The device aims to give players an immersive, large-format viewing experience without a physical monitor setup.

The ROG XREAL Glasses R1 use dual micro-OLED panels to create large visuals within a lightweight headset. When connected via USB-C or appropriate adapters, the glasses simulate an expansive display environment, allowing users to enjoy gaming, productivity, and multimedia content with a virtual screen that feels much larger than a typical monitor.

The wearable display is compatible with PCs and consoles that support high-definition video output through USB-C or DisplayPort adapters. ASUS emphasizes low latency and visual clarity to maintain performance during gaming sessions. The glasses are positioned as an alternative for gamers who want big-screen experiences without investing in physical ultrawide monitors.
