Apple is reportedly developing its first foldable iPhone with an emphasis on battery efficiency. Apple wanted to create foldable smartphone that can’t be matched by other smartphone manufacturers. The upcoming device is said to prioritize power across hardware and software rather than relying on a larger battery capacity.
According to the report, Apple plans to use a combination of advanced display efficiency, custom silicon, and tight iOS power management to extend usage time, addressing one of the most common weaknesses of current foldable phones.
The foldable iPhone is expected to adopt a book-style design, featuring a large internal display for multitasking. Battery improvements are said to be a key differentiator as Apple prepares to enter the competitive foldable smartphone segment.
