Huawei has officially launched the Pura 80 Series smartphones in the Philippines and these are the Pura 80 Ultra and Pura 80 Pro alongside the opening of the Huawei XMAGE Photography Exhibition.
Both models feature the Huawei X-True Display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, EMUI 15, and AI features such as AI Remove, AI Messaging, AI Smart Control Button, Air Gesture, and Real-Time Translation. There’s a 5170mAh battery as well with 100W Huawei SuperCharge and 80W Wireless SuperCharge. The Pura 80 Ultra comes with 2nd Gen Crystal Armor Kunlun Glass and IP69/IP68 protection while the Pura 80 Pro comes with 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass and IP68 protection.
Huawei Pura 80 Ultra: The first switchable Dual Telephoto Camera
The Pura 80 Ultra comes with the world’s first Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera. It features a 3.7x mid-telephoto and 9.4x ultra-telephoto lens in a single module. It features a 1/1.28-inch Ultra Large Sensor for greater light intake and a 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR Camera with real-time TCH-HDR technology, delivering up to 16EV dynamic range. The setup promises detailed portraits, sharp close-ups, and lifelike video capture powered by Huawei’s AI Cinematic Engine.
Huawei Pura 80 Pro: Close-Range Imaging Excellence
The Pura 80 Pro introduces an Ultra Lighting Macro Telephoto Camera with a Super Close Focus of up to 5cm and an F2.1 aperture for enhanced low-light performance. It also carries the 1-inch Ultra Lighting Camera paired with an Ultra Chroma Camera.
XMAGE Exhibition and Awards 2025
The launch of the new Pura smartphones also highlighted the XMAGE Awards 2025, an international photography competition open until September 15, 2025. The XMAGE Exhibition in Taguig displayed over 100 photos shot with Huawei devices, with more local showcases planned.
The Pura 80 Ultra stands out with its golden XMAGE badge and the “golden glaze” finish, available in Prestige Gold and Golden Black. The Pura 80 Pro comes in Glazed Red, Glazed White, and Glazed Black, showcasing Huawei’s “Grace of Glaze” design language.
