LG Electronics has unveiled its new UltraGear evo 5K gaming monitors. This new lineup is designed to deliver high-resolution gaming with built-in AI upscaling and visual optimization. The series includes 27-inch, 39-inch, and 52-inch models and marks the company’s push into premium gaming displays ahead of public showcasing at CES 2026.
The displays integrate AI technology directly into the monitor hardware to upscale gaming visuals, optimize scenes, and enhance audio without relying solely on the graphics card.
The 27-inch UltraGear evo GM9 (27GM950B) is LG’s first 5K New MiniLED gaming monitor. It uses a 21:9 curved panel with 1500R curvature and extensive local dimming zones to improve contrast and minimize blooming. The monitor supports a 165 Hz refresh rate at native 5K resolution and can switch to 330 Hz at QHD. It also features a rapid 1 ms response time and achieves high brightness levels suitable for HDR content.
The 39-inch UltraGear evo GX9 (39GX950B) incorporates a 5K2K OLED panel with an ultrawide 21:9 format and 1500R curve. The OLED technology provides deep blacks and wide color range, paired with on-device AI for real-time image and sound enhancement. The display targets immersive widescreen gaming with flexible refresh performance.
The 52-inch UltraGear evo G9 (52G930B) expands the lineup with a large 5K2K panel in a 12:9 aspect ratio and a pronounced 1000R curve. This model is positioned for users seeking a panoramic gaming experience with a 240 Hz refresh rate and HDR support.
The UltraGear evo monitors offer modern connectivity options, including DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 ports. Selected models also include USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and power delivery support.
LG UltraGear evo 5K Availability and Pricing
LG plans to showcase the UltraGear evo series at CES 2026 in Las Vegas in January. Pricing and regional availability have not been announced ahead of the show.
