LG unveiled the CLOiD AI Home Robot at CES 2026

Share

LG Electronics has announced LG CLOiD, a new AI-powered home robot that can perform household chores by working directly with connected home appliances, aiming to reduce the time and physical effort required for daily tasks.

LG Cloid Canada

LG CLOiD builds on LG’s Self-Driving AI Home Hub and the ThinQ ecosystem, positioning the robot as a central component of the company’s expanding AI-based smart home platform.

Human-Like Mobility and Safe Navigation

LG CLOiD features a head unit, a torso with two articulated arms, and a wheeled base with autonomous navigation. Each arm has seven degrees of freedom, while the hands use five independently actuated fingers for fine object handling. The wheeled base was selected for stability and safety, with a low center of gravity to reduce tipping risks around children or pets.

Mobile AI Home Hub With Physical AI

The robot’s head functions as a mobile AI home hub, equipped with a chipset, display, speakers, cameras, sensors, and voice-based generative AI. LG CLOiD uses Physical AI technology combining Vision Language Models and Vision Language Action systems, allowing it to recognize objects, interpret user intent, and translate visual inputs into physical actions.

Integration With LG ThinQ Ecosystem

LG CLOiD integrates directly with ThinQ and ThinQ ON, enabling seamless coordination across LG smart appliances. Alongside the robot, LG also introduced LG Actuator AXIUM, a new line of robotic actuators designed to support advanced service and home robots.
