MediaTek has just teased their newest chipset in the block and it’s the MediaTek Helio G90, their first chipset that is made for gaming smartphones and we can expect that this chipset will arrive in the smartphones really soon.
The Helio G90 will come with two Cortex-A75 cores with a clock speed of 2.2GHz and then there will be six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz and for the GPU, it will come with a PowerVR GM9446 at 970MHz and according to MediaTek, it will bring a 15% improvement over the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU that is used on the Helio P70 processor.
This is the second gaming chipset that we’ve heard as Qualcomm has recently unveiled the Snapdragon 855 Plus which has a boosted CPU and also GPU performance. Well, the chipset industry is about to get exciting and I can’t wait for the processors to come out in the market.
