HoYoverse has officially announced its latest project, the action-adventure game titled Varsapura. The announcement was accompanied by a substantial 31-minute gameplay demonstration, giving fans a first look at the title’s urban setting and combat mechanics.
Varsapura introduces a departure from some of HoYoverse’s established fantasy settings, featuring a modern-day urban environment rendered in a more realistic art style. It is widely speculated that the game world is based on Singapore.
The lengthy gameplay video showcased locations that bear resemblance to real-world landmarks in the Bencoolen, City Hall, and Fort Canning areas. The game’s narrative appears to revolve around an organization known as SEAL (Shadow Emergency Alliance) tasked with addressing the spread of an infectious substance dubbed “Mindrot.”
Varsapura Availability and Release
Varsapura joins HoYoverse’s recent string of announcements, following Honkai Nexus Anima and the life-sim Petit Planet. However, the developer has not yet provided an official release date or details regarding platforms and pricing for this new action-adventure title.
