I’ve used the JBL J22i for a few weeks and I can say that JBL is really serious with its bass. The one that I got was the white one. Just like the previous units that I’ve reviewed from JBL. JBL is also known for making earphones and headphones with their signature orange color and it looks good for me.
Design and Construction
The earphones is made up of plastic while there’s an embossed JBL logo on it and there’s a flat wire which helps it to be less tangled and honestly, I’m a big fan of flat wires on earphones and headphones. The wires are also long enough from your ears to your pocket.
One thing that I don’t like in it is that the earpiece always falls off my ear even if I already changed the earbuds. The JBL J22i packs a control buttons and built-in microphone, which you can only use on iOS devices. But of course, the built-in microphone will work on Android and yes, the mic was clear and flawless.
Sound Quality
When it comes to sound quality, the JBL J22i doesn’t disappoint. Just like its other brothers, the JBL J22i has a lovely bass quality to offer. The JBL J22i’s performance was quite good in all aspects. At max volumes, I didn’t experience distortion or awful sounds on it.
At mids and highs, the JBL J22i doesn’t disappoint too however I feel that the JBL J22i needs more punch at some music. It also lacks a little bit of crisp too.
Again, just like its brothers, the JBL J22i is made for those people who love bass. This is not probably the most affordable earphone in the market but it is definitely one of the best in its price that brings you with quality.
JBL J22i is now available at JBL Sound Gallery, B3 Bonifacio High Street, JBL Acoustical Space, 4th F, Cyberzone, SM North Annex & JBL Digital Dreams, 4th F Cyberzone, SM Megamall Bldg. B.
