PLDT is expanding its home entertainment lineup with the launch of StreamTV+, a premium streaming device designed to bring cinema-grade visuals, immersive audio, and smart home control into Filipino living rooms.
The new device, introduced under PLDT Home’s digital lifestyle platform PLDT Home Life, was developed in collaboration with global technology companies including Sagemcom, Bang & Olufsen, and Dolby Laboratories.
The companies say the device combines premium hardware design, cinematic sound technology, and smart assistant capabilities into a compact streaming box aimed at modern home entertainment setups.
A “cinema in a box” for Filipino households
According to PLDT Home, StreamTV+ was designed as an all-in-one entertainment hub that delivers 4K streaming, immersive sound, and voice-enabled smart controls in a single device.
The streaming box supports Dolby Vision for enhanced picture quality, while audio is powered by Dolby Atmos and tuned by Bang & Olufsen to create a more immersive sound experience. This setup allows users to enjoy clear dialogue, balanced audio, and deeper bass when watching movies, series, or live sports.
Because the device integrates both visual and audio enhancements, PLDT describes StreamTV+ as a “cinema in a box,” offering a theater-like experience without the need for additional speakers or multiple gadgets.
Users can access major streaming services including Netflix, HBO Max, and Cignal directly through the device.
Hardware designed in partnership with global tech firms
The hardware of the StreamTV+ was developed with Sagemcom, a company known for building communication and entertainment devices for telecom providers worldwide.
Meanwhile, audio tuning for the device was handled by Bang & Olufsen, bringing the company’s signature sound profile into a compact streaming box.
According to Duncan McCue, the collaboration aims to bring premium audio experiences into more homes. In addition, Dolby Laboratories contributes its visual and sound technologies to the device, enabling Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos playback for supported content.
Smart home features powered by Google Assistant
Beyond streaming, the device also functions as a voice-enabled smart home controller.
The device integrates Google Assistant, allowing users to control their television, search for content, and manage compatible smart home devices using voice commands. It also runs on Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, which helps deliver stable and high-quality streaming even when multiple devices are connected to the same network.
With these capabilities, StreamTV+ is not only an entertainment device but also as a central hub for connected homes.
StreamTV+ price and availability in the Philippines
The StreamTV+ is available to PLDT Home Fiber subscribers through two payment options.
Customers can purchase the device through a one-time payment of Php10,990 or through an installment plan of PHP 399 per month for 36 months.
