Realme is gearing up to launch the Realme GT 5, which is expected to sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, this month in China. Meanwhile, a recent Weibo post by the reputable tipster Digital Chat Station has added a new reason to be excited about the device, as it revealed its alleged specs.

Digital Chat Station’s revelation revealed that the Realme GT 5 Pro is set to showcase a Sony IMX9-series primary camera. It also boasts a sizeable 1.14x-inch sensor and comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support. This promises exceptional clarity and stability in capturing precious moments. What’s more, this dynamic camera system is likely to redefine photography standards in the smartphone realm.

To Sport A Periscope Zoom Camera?

The tipster’s leaks indicate that the Realme GT 5 Pro will house a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera. This is said to boast an impressive 3x optical zoom capability. The periscope mechanism also enables users to capture intricate details even from a distance.

While some details about the GT 5 Pro’s camera setup have been unveiled, certain aspects, such as the ultra-wide camera specifications, remain unknown.

The Realme GT 5 is poised to deliver a remarkable visual experience with its 6.74-inch OLED display. For instance, it may boast an impressive 1.5K resolution and a blazing-fast 144Hz refresh rate. On the front, users can expect a 16MP selfie camera that ensures stunning self-portraits and seamless video calls.

Turning to the rear, the GT 5 features a triple camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera, catering to a wide range of photographic scenarios. Operating on the Realme UI 4.0-flavored Android 13, this device promises a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the GT 5 boasts configurations of up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Users may also have the option to choose between two battery variants—one with a 4,600mAh battery that supports rapid 240W charging and another with a 5,200mAh battery offering 150W fast charging.
