Travereel, a Filipino-owned video-centric travel social network and booking platform, has officially introduced Vicky, an AI-powered travel assistant designed to help users generate personalized itineraries and book trips directly from travel content.
Announced in Manila on March 10, the new feature integrates artificial intelligence into Travereel’s reel-based travel discovery platform, allowing users to transition from watching travel videos to creating a full travel plan in seconds.
According to the company, the AI feature is designed to reduce the “planning paralysis” many travelers experience when faced with overwhelming travel recommendations online.

AI itinerary builder turns travel inspiration into bookings
At the center of the update is Vicky, Travereel’s AI travel assistant that acts as a digital concierge within the app. By analyzing user preferences, budgets, and trending destinations within the Travereel community, the AI tool can generate hyper-personalized multi-day itineraries tailored to each traveler.
The itineraries include suggested attractions, local dining spots, and activities, along with the option to directly book accommodations or experiences featured in travel videos on the platform.
The company recently tested the AI-generated itinerary feature during a real-world tour in Intramuros and Binondo, showcasing how users can instantly build travel plans based on locations highlighted in video content.
Reel-based travel discovery meets AI planning
Travereel positions itself as a hybrid platform that blends social media-style content with a travel booking engine.
In the app, users browse short-form travel reels uploaded by creators and travelers. Once a location catches their interest, they can generate a custom itinerary instantly through the AI system. This feature effectively connects travel inspiration with real-world bookings, bridging the gap between discovering destinations online and planning an actual trip.
The platform’s AI-powered itinerary builder also includes budget optimization features, suggesting travel options that align with the user’s spending preferences.
Built-in group chat and split billing for travel planning
In addition to AI itinerary planning, the platform has introduced tools designed to simplify group travel coordination.
The app now includes a built-in Group Chat feature, allowing users to collaborate on travel plans within the platform instead of relying on multiple messaging apps. Friends can vote on destinations, adjust itineraries generated by the AI assistant, and finalize trip details in a shared chat space.
Travereel has also added an Integrated Split Billing system, which allows travel groups to divide expenses such as accommodations, activities, and shared purchases. The feature is designed to simplify financial coordination during trips, ensuring that users can track and split travel costs transparently.

Monetization opportunities for travel creators
Beyond its travel planning tools, Travereel also aims to support the growing creator economy in travel content.
Through the platform’s affiliate marketing system, content creators can earn commissions when users book hotels or travel experiences through their travel reels. If a user generates an itinerary using Vicky that includes destinations featured in a creator’s video, the creator may also receive a commission from the resulting booking.
This model allows creators to monetize travel recommendations directly within the platform.
Travereel app availability and launch offer
The Travereel mobile app is currently available for download on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. To encourage adoption, Travereel is offering a Php250 voucher for first-time users who make their initial booking through the platform.
The company said the launch of its AI-powered itinerary builder marks a major step in its goal of combining social discovery, intelligent planning, and booking tools into a single travel platform.
