Xiaomi has officially entered the compact tablet market in the Philippines with the launch of the Xiaomi Pad Mini, its first flagship in the mini tablet category.
Designed for portability without compromising on performance, the new device brings an 8.8-inch 3K display, MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, and a slim unibody design, all packed into a lightweight form factor.
The Xiaomi Pad Mini is now available locally with an introductory early bird price of Php22,999 until October 13, 2025, down from its standard retail price of Php25,999.
Compact Design with Premium Build
The Xiaomi Pad Mini is built with mobility in mind, measuring just 205.13mm x 132.03mm x 6.46mm and weighing 326g. Its metal unibody and micro-arc middle frame provide a premium feel while maintaining ergonomic comfort for single-handed use. Xiaomi has also adopted a SoC-centered design, symmetrically arranging key components for improved balance and grip.
Available in Gray and Purple, the tablet’s compact dimensions and minimalist aesthetic make it a versatile choice for both professionals and students who need a device that transitions seamlessly from work to leisure.
High-Resolution Display and Audio
The highlight of the Xiaomi Pad Mini is its 8.8-inch 3K display with a resolution of 3008 x 1880 pixels and 403 ppi. The panel supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 165Hz, ensuring smooth responsiveness for tasks like scrolling, sketching, or gaming. With Dolby Vision support and a 700-nit peak brightness, visuals remain vibrant and sharp even under bright conditions.
To protect eye health, the device has earned TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian-Friendly features.
On the audio side, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Wireless Audio provide immersive sound, making the Pad Mini a capable entertainment companion.
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400+
At its core, the Xiaomi Pad Mini runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, built on a 3nm process. This high-performance processor is optimized for light productivity and creative workflows, delivering efficient multitasking and smooth performance across apps.
Users can choose between 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage configurations, both utilizing LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for faster read/write speeds.
Long Battery Life and Fast Charging
The tablet houses a 7,500mAh battery, which supports long hours of use for reading, streaming, or productivity tasks. With 67W HyperCharge, it can recharge rapidly, while 18W reverse wired charging allows the Pad Mini to act as a power source for other devices.
Adding versatility, the device features dual USB-C ports—one on the short edge and another on the long side—with support for USB 3.2 Gen 1 data transfer and DP1.4 screen projection.
AI-Powered Productivity
Xiaomi integrates HyperOS and HyperAI into the Pad Mini, offering a suite of AI-powered tools such as:
