Meta Unveils Ray-Ban Display AI Glasses with EMG Wristband Controller

Meta has introduced the Ray-Ban Display today. It’s their latest smart glasses but this time, it now comes with a full-color display and the Meta Neural Band wrist device that lets you control the smart glasses.

With the display on the Ray-Ban Display, users will be able to check notifications, reply to messages, do translations, and some AI-powered features. You can also turn it on and off to have a balance of the presence in the real world.

The magic in here is the Meta Neural Band, an EMG wristband that detects subtle muscle signals from the wrist and fingers. This enables touch-free control, letting users navigate apps and AI tools through simple gestures.

Other features you can do includes messaging and video calling, preview and zooming, pedestrian navigation, Live captions, and even music control. This might not be a full fledge device yet that can replace your smartphone but this is definitely in the right track for the future of everyday devices.

For the specifications, the Meta Ray-Ban Display comes with a 600×600 full-color display on the right lens, a 12MP camera with 3x zoom and viewfinder in-lens, a 6 mic array, open speakers, Meta Neural Band EMG wrist controller, and a battery life of 6 hours for mixed use and 30 hours with charging case

The Meta Ray-Ban Display with Neural Band will launch in the U.S. on September 30, 2025 for USD 799, available through Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Ray-Ban stores, and select Verizon stores. An international rollout, including Canada, France, Italy, and the UK, is scheduled for early 2026.
