HUAWEI has officially opened pre-orders for its next-generation tri-folding flagship smartphone in China. And yes, that smartphone is the HUAWEI Mate XT 2. The company has officially revealed the flagship’s colorways, storage configurations, inward-folding design, and bundled stylus options.
Dark Black, Pure White, and Jin Zi Colorways with Inward-Folding Form Factor
The HUAWEI Mate XT 2 debuts in three finishes: Dark Black, Pure White, and Jin Zi (Gold/Purple gradient). Unlike the original Mate XT and Mate XTs, the new model introduces a refined inward-folding tri-fold mechanism paired with an external cover screen for enhanced screen protection.
Octagonal Camera Module and Kirin 9050 Pro Silicon
On the BACK, the Mate XT 2 features aN octagonal camera island housing a flagship-grade camera system while under the hood, the tri-folding device is expected to be powered by HUAWEI’s new Kirin 9050 Pro chipset alongside a large 6,000mAh battery.
Up to 2TB Storage, Privacy Matte Display, and Bundled Stylus
HUAWEI is offering the Mate XT 2 in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB base configurations. The company is also introducing a specialized 16GB/1TB Privacy Matte Display variant alongside a top-of-the-line 16GB/2TB edition bundled with an active stylus pen.
Official Launch Set for September 7
Pre-orders for the HUAWEI Mate XT 2 are now live on official retail channels in China, with official pricing and full technical specifications set to be announced during the keynote on September 7, 2026.
