Xiaomi has officially unveiled their latest budget line-up with the debut of the Redmi 17 4G and Redmi 17 5G. Priced starting at MYR 669 (around PHP 8,700) for the 4G model and MYR 769 (around PHP 10,000) for the 5G version.

The best feature of the Redmi 17 series is a massive 7,500mAh battery, supported by 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired power bank charging. Both phones feature a 6.9-inch 120Hz IPS LCD display along with a new programmable RGB notification light embedded into the rear camera module.
The RGB light provides customizable visual alerts for incoming calls, system status notifications, and charging indicators.

Under the hood, the Redmi 17 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset with UFS 2.2 storage, while the 4G variant runs on a MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra processor with eMMC 5.1 storage.
Both devices share a 50MP primary rear camera, an 8MP front selfie camera, IP64 dust/water resistance, side-mounted fingerprint scanners, 3.5mm audio jacks, and NFC support. The Redmi 17 4G arrives in Black, Deep Blue, Lotus Purple, and Oak Green, while the Redmi 17 5G comes in Black, Deep Blue, and Vivid Orange.
