I saw the CD-R King LED light bulb from their store at Calamba, Laguna. The 5W LED Light Bulb is expected to have a 50,000 hours bulb life but if you’re quite skeptical about it’s life, don’t worry because CD-R King got you covered with their 1 week replacement warranty. The LED Light Bulb is priced at P280.00 (Around $6-$7.) I was not surprised by this because I know that someday CD-R King will soon invade the world with their products. Sony ST21i: The affordable ICS phone

Another Ice Cream Sandwich phone from Sony has been leaked. This time it’s an entry level Android phone which is set to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Y and the LG Optimus L3 — the Sony ST21i. According to GSM Arena, It packs a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset with a 800 MHz CPU and Adreno 200 GPU. It is also expected to have a 3 MP camera that can record VGA videos As you can see, the phone’s screen is pretty small at 3.2″ but good thing is that the LCD has a resolution of HVGA (320 x 480) not a QVGA display. At least you could install Instagram on it!

First of all, I want to inform you guys that this blog is not bias to Windows phones, Nokia or to Lumia phones. It’s just that there are a lot of news that are coming out of Nokia and I’ll be reviewing the midrange Windows phone — Nokia Lumia 710 soon. Yes folks! the SMART exclusive Nokia Lumia 710! Anyway, the most affordable Windows phone along with the first Lumia phone that I reviewed is now shipping! Yep. The Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 610 is already shipping and both phones is expected to be seen in select Nokia Stores at the end of April with a price of Php 10,980 and PhP 23,500.

Nokia Lumia 610 rolling this last week of April

Hear ye! Hear ye! The most affordable Windows phone is about to be release this last of week of April! The good news? Filipinos will be the first to get in touch with the most affordable Windows phone, the Nokia Lumia 610. After our country, soon to follow are China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam. Just like what I’ve told you in my previous post, the Nokia Lumia 610 doesn’t feel like it’s an entry level phone but rather a midrange smartphone. It is powered by a 800 mhz processor but it can still manage to have a HD video recording and a fast and fluid Windows phone experience. The Nokia Lumia 610 will be available in black, cyan, magenta and white (colorful huh?). Oh and there are no SRPs yet. What we have here is a Nokiaception folks. Yes, this ad of Nokia Pureview 808 is entirely shot with a Nokia Pureview 808 — a 41 megapixel-touting Symbian Smartphone. Yes folks, that’s not typo. Since we are all amazed on how big the sensor is, we finally see the Pureview in action. In this ad, we can see the prowess of its optics like the ability of the Pureview to zoom in at a very far distance and so much more. Seriously, I love to try this phone. Anyway just check out the video after the break. Oh and the video is only available at 720p but the Pureview 808 can capture videos up to 1080p.

Here’s an accessory that you’ll love to pair up with your Android phone — The Sony Live View. Why in the world would you love this device with a little display? Well because it’s not like the iPod nano that can just play music, The Sony Live view can connect to your Android 2.X device and it can easily update and view your latest notifications on facebook, twitter, play and navigate your playlist and read new messages by just taking a peek on the device. Nokia Lumia Launch at Republiq

Last April 19, SMART and Nokia Philippines launched the Nokia Lumia 710 (Pronounced as “No-kya Loom-ya”) at Republiq in Resorts World Manila. There were a lot of celebrities including Rhian Ramos and KC Montero who hosted the event oh and DJ Erick Morillo was there too! Aside from the 710, I also got a chance to get a hands-on of the Nokia Lumia 610 and the Nokia Lumia 900. FYI, SMART will be the exclusive carrier who will carry the Nokia Lumia 710 and the Lumia 900 in the Philippines.

That night, Republiq was filled by media and celebrities (Yes, I’m one of the celebrities there! haha Just kidding). Anyway, Like what I’ve told you earlier the Nokia Lumia 710 & Lumia 900 was demoed at the venue and Ms. Nikka Abes, the Corporate Communications Manager of Nokia Philippines also showed us the Lumia 610 which is the most affordable Windows phone that will be available at the end of April. Unfortunately, my good ol point and shoot camera just gave up the day before the launching. Since I got a chance to get a hands-on of the new lumia phones, I’ll share with you some of my first impressions.

Nokia Lumia 610

An entry level Windows phone but the phone looks good for an entry level
Even though the phone has 256mb RAM and 800 mhz processor. It is still fast. Comparable to the 1st gen Windows Phone smartphones
The camera can do HD videos! Yey!
Very affordable. Coming out of the Philippines at the end of April

Nokia Lumia 900

The Nokia Lumia 900 looks like a giant Nokia Lumia 800 minus the curved glass
The quality of the camera is almost the same with the Lumia 800 but this one has a front facing camera
The white Nokia Lumia 900 is glossy. Relentless eyecandy
It’s big like the Samsung Galaxy S II (Obviously)

Nvidia GTX 680 launched: The king of GPUs

Yes boys and girls, The current king in graphic industry has recently been launched here in the Philippines. And yes, the Nvidia GTX 680 is pretty awesome and powerful, I mean the most powerful GPU as of this moment. Nvidia launched the most powerful graphics card last April 10 at the Crowne Plaza Galleria to the media and other distributors.

Yes, it is capable of running three 3D monitors

So what’s with the new Nvidia GTX 680? Well, this GPU consumes less power than its predecessor but it still manage to provide twice the performance per watt of the GeForce GTX 580. Here are some of the new technologies included inside the Nvidia GTX 680:

How to setup Facebook Chat on Messages Beta on OS X

Facebook Chat on Messages

I’ve been curious about the Facebook messenger for Windows lately and I recently find out that Facebook messenger client for Mac OS X, Windows XP and Windows Vista isn’t available. It is only available for Windows 7. However if you’re a Mac user and you’ve downloaded Messages Beta for OS X Lion, you can set it up and receive and send messages in Facebook Messenger via Messages Beta. Yes folks, that is possible.

Open Messages Beta for OS X and then go to Messages menu and open “Preferences”
Click the accounts tab and then click the “+” Button
Select Jabber and click the arrow before “Server Options”
Type in the following:

Screen Name: <Facebook Username here>@chat.facebook.com
Password: <your Facebook password>
Server: chat.facebook.com
Port: 5222
(Uncheck the box labeled “Use SSL”)

Voila!. You can now use Facebook chat via Messages for Mac. If you don’t know your Facebook username then get one via this link. If you want to get Messages for OS X Lion, you may get it here. Don’t worry Snow leopard users and below because you could still setup your Facebook Messenger to iChat.

We love affordable devices and Android and today, Widget City has announced one of their newest affordable tablets, the Window N90 (this one is an android device, not Windows). It features a 9.7″ IPS LCD with a resolution of 1024 x 768 (Yep, that’s pretty familiar because of the iPad). It rocks a 1ghz Rockchip RK2918 Cortex A8, dual cameras, Android 4.0 and of course, an affordable price. As of this moment, this is one of the most affordable 10″ tablet being sold at online stores.
