ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 2024 Announced: AMD Ryzen AI CPU, RTX 4070 GPU and 16″ OLED Display

ASUS ROG has just unveiled their newest gaming laptop at Computex 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 2024 GA605 is one of the most popular gaming laptops out there as the ROG G Series features a balance of power and also portability.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 2024 also features the latest AI-centric processor from AMD — the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 that can bring in a total of 402 TOPS AI processing power with its 50 TOPS with its NPU, 31 TOPS on CPU and 321 TOPS on its GPU.

When it comes to the GPU power, it comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU along with a maximum TGP of 105 watts. THese are all supported by the ROG Intelligent cooling including its liquid metal on the CPU and fiber-and-mesh heat-pipe system with a tri-fan design.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 2024 packs an OLED panel with Nvidia G-Sync and it supports 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, and also a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

As for the memory, it comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory with support for SD Express 7.0 standard and it’s the first ROG laptop to come with WiFi 7.

ASUS Zenbook S 16 with Ryzen AI processor unveiled at Computex!

ASUS has just launched their newest Zenbook at Computex in Taipei and it packs the brand new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor inside. This new processor from AMD goes up to 28W TDP and it can go up to 50 TOPS when it comes to its NPU.

Some of the cool stuff that we can get from the ASUS Zenbook S 16 is the usage of the all-metal chassis aluminum with the outer lid made up of Ceraluminum. It’s ASUS newest material that comes with the feel of a ceramic but the strength of aluminum which gives you the best of both worlds.

Aside from that, the ASUS Zenbook S 16 comes with 78Wh battery, USB4, USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI and an SD card reader. For the storage, there’s the 2TB PCIe 4.0 X4 SSD and also an up to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM.

There’s the large 16-inch 3K touch display as well with a 120Hz refresh rate with a 90% screen-to-body ratio which is probably is the best feature about this notebook.

ASUS launches the ROG Ally X: Faster RAM, Bigger battery & new MOBO

ASUS has just launched the ROG Ally X and no, this isn’t the big upgrade as the ASUS ROG Ally X offers a similar design but it now comes in a black color and it does fixed some of the problems we encountered from the previous model.

Double storage, Faster RAM

One of the things that they’ve changed is the memory setup inside the ASUS ROG Ally X. There’s a bigger 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD that now comes in M.2 2280 inside and a faster 24GB 7500MHz RAM as well. This makes the ASUS ROG Ally X perform better in gaming despite the same CPU inside, the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme.

Bigger Battery

Probably one of the biggest deal breakers from the original ASUS ROG Ally is the small battery but this time, they’re putting in a lot of juice with its 80Wh battery inside which is twice the battery inside and then there’s the faster 100W USB-C PD- Charging as well. But of course, this also comes with a bigger and a thicker body but ASUS has promised that the ASUS ROG Ally X will still be ergonomic.

Bye XG Mobile!

ASUS has also ditched the XG Mobile in favor of the 2x USB 4 in there. But don’t worry, this means that you can still use external GPUs on the ROG Ally X with this USB-4.

Same design, better inside

While the exterior might look the same but they did change a little bit when it comes to its curves to make it more ergonomic. As for the MOBO inside, it has been changed as well to accommodate for the issues that people have been experiencing with their microSD and to have a better thermal cooling.

The ASUS ROG Ally X is expected to be available soon. As for the pricing, it’s more expensive now at USD $800

POCO Launches F6 Smartphone Series and the POCO Pad

POCO has launched its newest POCO F6 series smartphones along with the company’s first tablet, POCO Pad.

The POCO F6 Pro is their newest smartphone, positioned as an all-around flagship phone with last year’s flagship chip. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and features a 6.67-inch WQHD+ (3200 x 1440) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming. The POCO F6 Pro boasts a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge fast charging.

While the POCO F6 is their newest midrange smartphone with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. The POCO F6 features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
