HONOR Philippines has announced major discounts and free gifts on select products for its 6.6 Mega Sale. The promotion runs from May 29 to June 10 on e-commerce platforms Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop in the Philippines.

One of the highlighted deals is the HONOR X9b 5G, an ultra-tough smartphone with 360-degree anti-drop protection and a 5800mAh battery rated to maintain optimal battery health for up to 3 years. It is available at a discounted price during the sale.

The premium HONOR Magic 5 Pro, which topped the DXOMARK Camera Global Ranking last year, sees a Php 15,000 price drop from Php 59,990 to Php 45,990, with a free JBL Flip 5 speaker included.

Another promoted product is the HONOR 70 5G, the EISA Best Buy Smartphone for 2022-2023. It gets a Php 10,000 discount along with a free JBL Go 3 speaker.

Other HONOR smartphones, laptops, and accessories are also available at discounted prices with free bundle items during the 6.6 Mega Sale promotion period.

Consumers can take advantage of the 6.6 deals on Lazada from June 5 at 8 PM to June 10, on Shopee from June 6 to 10, and on TikTok Shop from May 29 to June 7.

Playstation VR2 will have access on PC with Adapter this August 7

Sony is opening up its Playstation VR2 to play PC VR games with an adapter this coming August. In an announcement on the official PlayStation Blog, the company revealed that starting August 7th, 2024, PlayStation VR2 owners will be able to purchase and use a special adapter to connect their headsets to their gaming PCs.

This move allows PlayStation VR2 users to tap into their library of PC VR titles beyond just PlayStation’s own ecosystem of games. By utilizing the adapter, the VR2 headset and controllers can interface with SteamVR and access games and apps like Steam.

The adapter will be available for purchase from PlayStation’s online store and select retailers starting August 7th. Pricing has not yet been announced. Sony notes that not all PC VR games may be fully compatible initially, and functionality could vary across titles.

This cross-platform capability gives the PlayStation VR2 a major advantage over rival headsets like the Meta Quest 2 that are currently restricted to their own separate libraries and ecosystems.

The PS VR2 features eye-tracking, 4K HDR display, and new VR controller sensing technology, the PlayStation VR2 can now double as an advanced PC VR headset for gaming and applications beyond the Playstation platform.

One of the things that they’ve changed is the memory setup inside the ASUS ROG Ally X. There’s a bigger 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD that now comes in M.2 2280 inside and a faster 24GB 7500MHz RAM as well. This makes the ASUS ROG Ally X perform better in gaming despite the same CPU inside, the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme.

Probably one of the biggest deal breakers from the original ASUS ROG Ally is the small battery but this time, they’re putting in a lot of juice with its 80Wh battery inside which is twice the battery inside and then there’s the faster 100W USB-C PD- Charging as well. But of course, this also comes with a bigger and a thicker body but ASUS has promised that the ASUS ROG Ally X will still be ergonomic.
