Last week, Alcatel has finally launched that their newest Octa-Core smartphone in the Philippines. The specifications of this smartphone is just the right hardware from what you can expect on a flagship smartphone. There’s a 5-inch full HD display which is quite sharp, a 2 GHz MT6592 Octa-Core processor, 2GB RAM and a 13.1 Megapixel Camera.

Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ Specifications

  • Mediatek MT6592 2.0GHz octa-core processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB internal storage
  • HSPA+

One thing that I like in the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ is that they included a JBL earphones inside the box. I reviewed a lot of JBL earphones and I’m pretty happy with its performance. I barely used the earphones included in the phone but if I have the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+, I would definitely use it because not only I love JBL but their earphones are really great.

Alcatel has also their own wearable device called the Boomband. It’s a smart fitness band that can track your steps made, distance travelled, calorie consumption and it is also a sleep tracker. Compared to other fitness bands, the Boomband comes with LED indicators and has vibration notifications so you’ll never miss a call or a message. Alcatel Boomband is also splashproof that’s why you won’t be worried that much when you get caught in the rain or when you’re washing your hand.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ is now available for P18,799 while the Alcatel Boomband will be available soon for P1,999. The Alcatel Boomband is actually attractive and as far as I know, this is one of the most affordable smartband that is available in the Philippines.
