HUAWEI Philippines recently hosted GoPaint Masterclass sessions to showcase the creative capabilities of the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2”. Held on November 16 and 23 at the SM North EDSA Huawei Experience Store, the sessions featured digital artists Aikee Vergara and Eulah Araullo.
Highlighting the features of the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2”
Participants learned about the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2” through a session led by a Huawei product expert. The tablet, priced at Php59,999, is equipped with PC-level WPS Office apps and Huawei Notes, enabling seamless multitasking. The device pairs with the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd generation), which offers over 10,000 pressure sensitivity levels, and the HUAWEI Glide Keyboard for enhanced productivity.
The tablet’s dual OLED PaperMatte Display provides anti-glare technology, vivid colors, and certified eye protection. This screen is designed for both content creation and viewing, offering an immersive experience.
Creative tools with the GoPaint app
The GoPaint app, exclusively available on Huawei tablets, was also highlighted during the sessions. Graphic designer Aikee Vergara and Canva creative lead Eulah Araullo demonstrated how the app’s tools can be used to create digital artworks.
GoPaint supports up to 500 layers, 8K ultra-large canvases, and offers advanced features like the Professional Brush Engine. These tools, combined with the HUAWEI M-Pencil, replicate realistic textures such as silk and watercolor.
International contest for digital creators
To encourage artists, Huawei launched the GoPaint Worldwide Creating Activity. Open to all GoPaint users, the competition runs until December 31, 2024. Participants can submit artworks under the theme “Creative by Nature.” The top 20 winners will receive USD 1,000 each, along with opportunities for global exposure.

The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2” is available on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, the Huawei Online Store, and Huawei Experience Stores nationwide for Php59,999.
Additionally, Huawei announced the upcoming launch of the Huawei MatePad 12 X in the Philippines. The device will also support the GoPaint app, further expanding its tools for digital creators.
