ASUS has recently unveiled their newest gaming notebook, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S and it’s the world’s slimmest gaming notebook at 14.95mm. It’s powered by the latest Intel Core i7-8750 processor and also a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, and a 144Hz display. Yep, I know, it’s amazing that ASUS managed to fit that hardware inside a notebook this thin.
So how did ASUS did that? Well, they’ve improved their cooling system thanks to the ROG Active Aerodynamic System.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX531 uses an aluminum and magnesium alloys for its chassis to achieve a balance in strength and weight. It also packs a 15.6-inch display with 144Hz display in its 14.2-inch chassis which gives only a small footprint for the Zephyrus S.
And of course, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S got an RGB lighting through Aura Sync and you can create your own lighting in its four independent zones that illuminates the keyboard and the additional LEDs inside the AAS vent.
The keyboard layout of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S is very similar to the first ASUS ROG Zephyrus and the touchpad of the notebook also acts as the numpad by just pressing a button.
