ASUS Pad T3201 launched with 12.2-inch 2.8K OLED display, MediaTek D8300 chip

ASUS has introduced the ASUS Pad T3201, a new Android tablet that focuses on entertainment, gaming, learning, and productivity in a slim and lightweight body.

The new ASUS Pad comes with a large 12.2-inch 2.8K OLED display with a 2800 x 1840 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. ASUS is positioning this tablet as a device made for watching videos, playing games, studying, and working on the go.

ASUS Pad T3201 features a 12.2-inch OLED display

The tablet uses a dual-layer OLED panel (Tandem OLED) that offers vivid visuals, better efficiency, and a more immersive viewing experience. This is similar technology that we have seen on the iPad Pro. It also gets a 92% screen-to-body ratio. For audio, the tablet comes with quad speakers with Dolby Atmos

Powered by MediaTek D8300

Inside, the ASUS Pad T3201 is powered by the MediaTek D8300 processor, an octa-core chipset with speeds of up to 3.35GHz. This is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB storage, depending on the configuration.

The tablet also supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, which should help users get faster wireless connectivity for downloads, streaming, and online gaming.

Productivity features and accessories

ASUS is also pushing the T3201 as a productivity device. It supports Android split-screen, ASUS GlideX for cross-device collaboration, and Google Circle to Search. The tablet is also compatible with the ASUS Pen 2.0 and Bluetooth keyboards, though these are sold separately. A protective case is included in the box, which is a nice touch for a device in this category.

Camera and battery

For cameras, the ASUS Pad T3201 comes with a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP front camera for video calls and selfies.

The ASUS Pad T3201 also packs a 9,000mAh battery with fast charging that can reach up to 50% in 30 minutes. Despite the large display and battery, it is only 6.5mm thin and weighs around 523g.
