Apple’s iPhone 17 is the world’s best-selling smartphone for the first quarter of 2026, according to the latest data from Counterpoint Research.
The iPhone 17 captured 6% of global smartphone shipments in Q1 2026, making it the best-selling smartphone in the world. It was followed by the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro.
Samsung’s Galaxy A series had the strongest presence among Android devices, taking five spots in the global top 10 list. The Galaxy A07 4G was the best-selling Android smartphone during the quarter. The popularity of the A07 was due to its affordability.
The top 10 best-selling smartphones accounted for 25% of total global unit sales in Q1 2026, the highest Q1 concentration ever recorded while Xiaomi’s Redmi A5 secured the tenth spot on the list, the most affordable smartphone in the list.
