OnePlus is reportedly undergoing a major internal change as new reports claim that the brand has been merged with realme. The move comes amid ongoing signs that OnePlus is scaling back its global operations.

According to recent reports, OnePlus and realme have been merged under a new structure referred to as a “sub-product center.” This setup is expected to combine operations including marketing and after-sales services for both brands.

The newly formed teams are also said to report directly to Pete Lau, who continues to oversee the direction of both brands. The restructuring may also focus on shared product development.

What this means for OnePlus and realme

While the merger does not confirm a full shutdown of OnePlus, it points to a significant shift in the brand’s structure. realme currently has a wider presence in several global markets especially in the Philippines, which could influence how future products are positioned and released.
