RedMagic has officially release of the RedMagic Astra 2 gaming tablet globally. Official sales are scheduled to begin in late August, with pre-sale vouchers available now.
Super-Fast 185Hz LTPO OLED Gaming Display
The RedMagic Astra 2 is built with a 9.06-inch LTPO OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate. It delivers a 300Hz touch sampling rate to minimize input lag and the screen sports a 1504 x 2400 resolution.
Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 & Dual USB-C Port Design
powering the tablet is Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It is paired with either 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB of storage, or a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model. Powering the setup is an 8,300mAh battery that supports 75W wired fast charging.
To make charging more convenient, the tablet features two USB-C ports. A dedicated charging port is positioned on the long landscape edge of the tablet, letting you play comfortably while plugged in.
Active Cooling, RedCore R4 Chip, and Android 16 Software
The tablet also features RedMagic’s custom RedCore R4 gaming co-processor to handle screen and touch performance. It also relies on active liquid cooling with RGB back panel accents for temperature control. Out of the box, the Astra 2 runs Android 16 styled with RedMagic OS 11.5.
