Xiaomi has finally unveiled their latest smartphone series that is set to succeed the Redmi Note 8 series which was very popular. The Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro are affordable handsets that will come with powerful hardware inside and with the Redmi Note 8 Pro, it’s officially the world’s first smartphone with a 64MP rear camera.

Redmi Note 8

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 runs on a Snapdragon 665 chipset and then there’s the 48MP rear camera with Samsung OSICELL GM2 sensor and also an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor and of course, there’s the 13MP front camera on the smartphone.

The smartphone also comes with 6.3-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and then there’s the fingerprint scanner at the back of the smartphone. The smartphone will also come with a 4000mAh battery, 18W charging and USB-C port.

Redmi Note 8 Pro

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is really the interesting one as the Redmi Note 8 Pro features a different design and it is the first smartphone to sport a 64MP rear camera. It utilizes the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor and it comes with an 8MP ultra-wide lens + 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens. And then there’s the 20MP selfie camera. 

The smartphone also comes with 6.53-inch LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution. For gamers, the smartphone also comes with a powerful Helio G90T processor and a liquid cooling chamber. It also comes in 6GB or 8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage along with 4500mAh battery and support for 18W fast-charging.
