The Zenfone family just got bigger with the addition of the two new Zenfone smartphones that sports cool camera features. The first one is the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom which was first seen earlier this year while the other one is the ASUS Zenfone Live which is a smartphone that is made for livestreaming and selfies. The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom is the follow-up of last year’s ASUS Zenfone Zoom in where it didn’t get much attention as that smartphone have some flaws in the camera while the ASUS Zenfone Live is a brand new model in the series that can add beautification to livestreaming apps and selfies.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom packs a dual lens camera at the back and compared to the ASUS Zenfone Zoom, this one doesn’t have a big bulge at the back. The dual lens camera of the smartphone works similarly to the iPhone 7 Plus and yes, you could do 2.3x optical zooming on this smartphone and up to 12x digital zooming. I’ve been using this smartphone and yes, it’s really good one. Aside from that, the smartphone also packs a decent 5000mah of battery that would make sure that your smartphone can last up to a whole day.

While the other Zenfone is the ASUS Zenfone Live. This affordable is very special because the ASUS Zenfone Live lets you add beautification real time even on livestream. This feature works on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

Despite this awesome features, the ASUS Zenfone Live packs a kinda old hardware as this one still sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor which is a little bit old in today’s standards. Nonetheless. the ASUS Zenfone Live would be enticing to people who are into selfies and loves to do livestreaming.

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom is priced at P23,995 while the ASUS Zenfone Live is priced at P6,995. Both are available this April.

OPPO F3 Plus First Impressions

1

After weeks of teasing, OPPO Philippines has finally unveiled the OPPO F3 Plus to the world. TheOPPO F3 Plus was simultaneously launched here in the Philippines along with Myanmar, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The OPPO F3 Plus is the newest smartphone from the brand that packs a dual selfie camera. Not only that, this one also packs a large display which is just perfect for media consumption and browsing the internet.

OPPO F3 Plus Specs

  • 6-inch Full HD IPS Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 Processor
  • 64GB of Internal storage expandable via MicroSD
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 16-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash
  • 16-megapixel front camera with 8-megapixel wide-angle front camera
  • LTE
  • Dual Sim
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS
  • Fingerprint scanner
  • 4000mAh Battery
  • VOOC Flash Charge
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ColorOS 3

Here’s the thing with the OPPO F3 Plus, it looks similar to the very popular OPPO F1s but it has a lot of better features than the latter. Is it bad? No, I don’t think so. I love the design of the OPPO F1s and I believe it is still one of the sexiest Android smartphones that you can get right now. The biggest aesthetic difference that you can see between the two smartphones are the minimal lines at the back and its bigger size.

The OPPO F3 Plus might have the same look on the home button however, it isn’t similar t0 the F1s because this one might have a fingerprint scanner on its home button but you can’t press down the button and yes, it works similarly to the iPhone 7. It’s actually not bad as I get used to it in just a few hours of usage of the smartphone.

One of the best things to love in this smartphone is its display. It has a freaky huge 6-inch Full HD IPS display but it doesn’t feel like that because the smartphone is really handy, also, the curves of the smartphone do feel good to the hand, however, I feel that without the case, I would often drop the smartphone. But thankfully, there’s an included jelly case on the OPPO F3 Plus.

Here’s the best thing about OPPO smartphones, the selfie camera. The brand is known for creating a smartphone that has a good selfie camera thanks to its hardware used in the front camera and also the other features. Well, the selfie camera just got better with the OPPO F3 Plus as this smartphone packs a dual selfie camera. Why two? One is made for selfies the other one is for grouf   ies. And yes, both cameras are great and if you love taking selfies, this smartphone is definitely for you.

We’ll take a more in-depth look at the OPPO F3 Plus in our review soon so watch out! For the meantime, you could also watch our unboxing and hands-on video of the smartphone below.

What’s interesting about these laptops are they are ultra-thin and yet they got the power that you need for everyday productivity and use. Previously, we reviewed the ASUS Zenbook 3 and we loved it except for the lack of ports as that notebook only has a single USB Type-C.

The other Zenbooks that were launched were interesting too. They might not be as thin as the Zenbook 3 Deluxe but they still have a fashionable and stylish design as both notebooks packs very thin bezels which make the dimensions of the notebooks smaller than what you expect.

The ASUS Zenbook is worth checking out if you love stylish and thin laptops.
