Almost all of my favorite games either have a new screenshots or a new trailer and one of them is Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece, Metal Gear Solid V. This trailer revealed a lot of what to expect on the next game. Big Boss will be the main protagonist of the game and the events on the game will happen between Peace Walker and the first Metal Gear. I’m not sure if Volgin is back in the game and if the kid with the gas mask is Psycho Mantis and if the man in the horse is Ocelot. But if you don’t really care about the story, the next Metal Gear Solid will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360. This game is the first one to use the Fox Engine but I bet you don’t have any idea about it. Fox Engine aims to have a photo-realistic graphics. As you can see in the trailer, it has a freakin awesome graphics. Ladies and Gentlemen, that is how awesome the Fox Engine can do. Want to see the trailer yourself? Check it out after the break my friends.
Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster
OH LOOK! The last good Final Fantasy would have a HD remake. I didn’t have a Playstation 2 because I always borrow from my cousin but this is one of the few games that I loved to play on that console. And yes, SquareEnix finally decided to have a HD remake of Final Fantasy X. But wait, not only Final Fantasy X but also Final Fantasy X-2! Too bad, the trailer that’s on Youtube is subtitled in German. But don’t worry because the voiceovers that has been used in the trailer is still in English. The Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster will be available in an all in one disc for the Playstation 3 while the Final Fantasy X HD Remaster and Final Fantasy X-2 HD remaster would be separate for the Playstation Vita. For the meantime, enjoy the HD trailer after the break.
Cherry Mobile Omega HD Specifications and Price in the Philippines
Some people are not fancy about the large screens on most phones made by local brands. Why? Because the resolution of those phones are not HD. Well, your prayers have just been answered because the Cherry Mobile Omega HD is here (OmegaHD!). From the name itself, the phone will pack a 5.0″ IPS display with a 1280×720 resolution. Yep, that’s right. It’s HD! Oh and the phone doesn’t just have a normal HD display because the phone is protected by a Dragon Trail Glass technology. It acts like Gorilla glass and it keeps your phone away from scratches. Mr. Marco of Cherry Mobile showed us on the +Big Time Show the features of Dragon trail glass and how tough the phone is by trying to scratch it with different objects. Aside from that, the phone packs a dual-core Mediatek processor which can be found on the other Cherry Mobile phones. Oh and the phone has a 12 MP BSI camera sensor! Pretty awesome right?
Last Saturday, we discussed about the phone and its capabilities. We also answered some questions about the phone. Oh and we also talked about the Quad-Core Smartphone from Cherry Mobile, the Flame 2.0. Why don’t you check out the video below:

Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 Specifications and Price in the Philippines: Cheapest Quad-Core phone in the market!
And just like what I’ve predicted after the announcement of the Cherry Mobile Flare, there will be a phone that’ll be coming to a local brand which will be very affordable. And yes, the P4,000 Quad-Core tablet, Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt came in and then there’s the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 which was just announced this week. Too bad I was not able to attend the launch. I never thought that there would be a Quad-Core phone at this early 2013. The phone got a freakin Quad-Core Snapdragon Processor! Oh and calm down your horses because this is not the same Quad-Core Processor that can be found on the Asus Padfone 2 and the Sony Xperia Z. But hey, come on guys. This is a freakin Quad-Core Phone with a P7,000 price tag. Want to know more about the tablet? Check it out after the break.
So what does this baby got for us? Well, the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0’s Snapdragon Quad-Core doesn’t have the same performance as the other Snapdragon S4 processor. The Quad-Core processor inside the Cherry Mobile Flare is a Qualcomm MSM 8225Q 1.2 GHz processor. I’m not sure how it performs but I hope that it can perform better than the Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt’s Quad-Core processor.
The phone doesn’t have a HD display but the screen is already decent at 4.5” qHD display. It has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA front facing camera which you can use for your Skype. The smartphone has a 4 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that can support up to 32 GB. Of course, there’s the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Powered by a 1.2 GHz MSM8225Q processor and 1 GB of RAM, I think this smartphone could have a blazing speed. I’m just quite skeptical about its battery since the battery is just rated at 1600mAh. Oh and before I forgot, the phone is powered by Jelly Bean.

Samsung Galaxy S IV Specifications and Price in the Philippines: The best Android smartphone?
There’s a new Galaxy that has been discovered and no, this Galaxy can’t be found from the outer space but this one can be seen on our Atmosphere. It’s the Samsung Galaxy S4. It is touted as the next big thing. So what’s new in it for us? well, Sammy’s new flagship packs a 1080p 5″ display and a 1.6 GHz Octa-Core processor! Yeah, I know. The processor acts like a dual quad-core processor. Why? because The Samsung Galaxy S4 has 4 A-15 processors which is only used for heavy task applications while there’s a 4 A-7 processors which has low power consumption which is use for not-so-heavy applications like the internet browser and E-Book readers. Want to know more about the device? Click read more
Basically, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is just a refined Samsung Galaxy S3. The screen just got larger and the design is still somewhat similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note II and the Samsung Galaxy S3. It’s funny that they’re following the footsteps of Apple. I’m not saying they copied Apple but Samsung Galaxy S4 only had a few minor and not eye-popping hardware upgrades and they focused that much on the software side.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 runs on Android 4.2.2 which is the latest version of Android. And just like the Samsung Galaxy S3, it packs a lot of unique features. There’s the additional S features on the Samsung Galaxy S4 like the S health which helps you keep in shape. It would be better if you buy an accessory for it. There’s Air Gesture and Air View on the SGSIV too just like its bigger brother, the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
I was kinds disappointed by Samsung because there aren’t that much aesthetic changes that happened on the Samsung Galaxy S IV. I think, we shouldn’t frown to Samsung about choosing plastic over aluminum. They have already invested in that design for years. Choosing an aluminum design over a plastic would just add to that “Things that Samsung copied from Apple”. I was not impressed that much on the Samsung Galaxy SIV. Hmm. If I have the money to buy a new flagship phone, I rather choose the HTC One

Galapad Specifications and Price in the Philippines: Tegra 3 Tablet on the budget
Here’s an affordable tablet that can satisfy your gaming needs. If you feel that the Nexus 7 is good for you but you need some more storage, you might want check this tablet out. The Galapad is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 that we can also see on the Nexus 7. Actually, the Nexus 7 and the Galapad has almost the same specifications. And yes, Tegra 3 processor is a quad core processor that is made for gaming. So expect that most of the latest games will run on the tablet with added effects thanks to the Tegra processor. The tablet might have the same 7-inch screen but this one only packs a 1024×600 resolution. Oh and before I forgot, the tablet runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean. Pretty cool huh? Click read more to know more about the tablet.
Like what I’ve said earlier, the Galapad feels like a Nexus 7 but with more storage because the Galapad has a MicroSD card slot that is expandable up to 32 GB aside from that 8 GB storage inside. Don’t worry there’s a 2 megapixel front camera too for your Skype, Google Hangouts or whatever you’re using video call client needs. The tablet also packs a 3500 mAh battery and I think that can last up to a half-day of average use. Here, check out the white paper below

Nokia Lumia 920 is now available at online stores!
Oh take a look guys! The Nokia Lumia 920 has finally landed in the Philippines via an online store. Yep, the flagship phone of Nokia finally became available here in our lovely country. So what do we expect on Nokia’s latest Flagship phone? The phone is powered by Windows Phone 8 and it has a 4.5″ HD Display with Puremotion HD+ Clearblack display. I know, mentioning the specs are boring so what does this phone really have? The Nokia Lumia 920 got a 8.7 Megapixel camera with Pureview technology. The Nokia Lumia 920 has one of best camera on a smartphone to date. Nokia said that the camera stabilization was even greater than some of the point and shoot and DSLR cameras. The low light shots were great too. Oh and before I forgot, the Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a wireless charger too. The Nokia Lumia 920 is now available for P24,990 at Widget City
Facebook gets an overhaul News Feed: Cleaner look and Uniform UX
The new design features the same feel on the Facebook for iPad, iPhone and Android phones. As you can see in the picture, it features the left-hand menu that we can see on the Facebook for mobile. Facebook also want to make sure that you can check out the latest happenings and stories from your Facebook friends that’s why they introduce several news feeds in addition to that what we have right now.
Facebook added the following in addition to the News Feed that we have today:

Here’s a video on what to expect on the overhauled news feed of Facebook
The new design will be coming in a few weeks on the web and on your Android and iOS devices. But if you want to get the first dibs on the redesign news feed then add yourself to the waiting list here – www.facebook.com/newsfeed. I’m still don’t have that Graph Search. Geez.
Top three things I like and dislike about the Asus Padfone 2
I loved Asus Padfone 2. It was one of the best Android smartphone I’ve reviewed (Pop na Pop!) and it is only smartphone that is available in the Philippines that can transform into a tablet. That feature is the main selling point of the table. Aside from having that unique cool feature, the Asus Padfone 2 also sports a specifications you’ll surely love. The specifications of this phone is on par or even better on most flagship phones to date. But of course, there are also some things that I didn’t like in this smartphone tablet hybrid. Check it out after the break.
3 Things I like about the Asus Padfone 2
1. The solid and concentric circle texture of the smartphone
The concentric circles. It’s the unique trademark of the Asus Padfone 2. It’s awesome, It made the phone more comfortable to hold. The phone is solid too even though it is made up plastic. The aluminum accents on the side also made the phone more sexier.
2. The 13 megapixel camera is freakin awesome.
The 13 megapixel didn’t failed to impress me. The camera app might be confusing at first but the quality of the images were great. It can also record Full HD videos and even 720p videos at 30 fps. If you want more, it can record 90 fps videos at VGA size. The camera app also features a lot of effects including beautification.
3. Of course, I love the transformation of smartphone to tablet!
It’s the main selling point of the device. Why in the world would you not love that? When you docked in your device it automatically boots into an Android tablet in a matter of seconds. Don’t worry about your apps, files and mobile data because the Padfone Station would rely on the Smartphone for all of that. Pretty awesome right?
3 Things I dislike about the Asus Padfone 2
1. No MicroSD card slot
All of my school files, videos and music are all stored in a MicroSD. And whenever I have a review unit, I just transfer my MicroSD to the review unit and voila! All my files are there already. Device without a MicroSD card slot is such a pain for me. I hate wasting my time transferring files. The 16 GB storage is also not adequate for me. Too bad, there’s no Micro SD
2. The Padfone 2 doesn’t feel that durable
To be honest with you, I like the design of the Asus Padfone 2 and its station but I wasn’t impress with the Padfone 2’s Station material. The back was made up plastic and you can really press the body which makes me wonder if the docking station could last more than 2 years for me. The white color could easily attract dirts and I had to wipe it almost everyday just to make it clean. I strongly suggest to get the black Padfone 2 rather than the white Padfone 2.
3. Holy $#!+. It will cost you an arm and a leg
As expected, the Asus Padfone 2 will cost you an arm and a leg. Heck, it would even cost you a head! The Asus Padfone 2 is priced at P36,500 at Widget City. That’s way too expensive compared to other Android Flagship phones. Even though you can get a smartphone/tablet hybrid on this one, P36,590 is still too expensive for our pockets
The ASUS Padfone 2 is now available at Widget City for P36,590. Watch out for my review of the Asus Padfone 2 at Widget City blog.

Nokia Lumia 720 Specifications and Price in the Philippines: High-end camera at the midrange category
Who would have thought that a phone with a good lowlight capability would reach the mid-range market. We know that Nokia has the best records in camera in their smartphone lineup. First, they introduced the Nokia N8 that has a 12 Megapixel camera and it performed great during its time and then they revealed the eye popping camera phone, the Nokia Pureview 808 that has 41 Megapixels. When it was announced, most of the people can’t believe it and then just last year, they announced the Nokia Lumia 920 with OIS that can perform really well on low light and it can greatly stabilize videos. And this week at MWC, they announced the Nokia Lumia 720. So what’s so special about this phone? Well, the phone got a freakin 6.7 Megapixel camera with a f/1.9 aperture. That may not bested the Nokia Lumia 920 but it surely beat most of the flagship phone’s camera. Nokia Lumias might look like each other but they surely have different features. Check out the break if you want to know more.
The Nokia Lumia 720 looks like the other Lumias. It doesn’t share much of its genes from its predecessor, the Nokia Lumia 710 which we reviewed a long time ago. The Nokia Lumia 720 will be powered by the latest version of Windows Phone 8 and this phone is targeted for chics and vain people. But I think people who are not vain or even a chic (Hello ate readers!) might like this phone. I wonder when will Windows Phone would have their own Instagram app. Instagram just reached 100 Million users, I think creating an Instagram for Windows Phone could help increase the market share of Windows Phone. Check out the specifications of the Nokia Lumia 720 below:
