Pretty basic, but it’s a thoughtful package that ensures you’re all set right from the get-go.

Now, let’s talk design. The realme 12 5G draws inspiration from high-end watches, and it shows. The rear panel sports a distinctive “watch-like sunburst dial” and a sleek line running down the center.

Meanwhile, our unit comes with the striking Woodland Green color variant, which we really like. It offers a premium touch, with thin physique and rounded corners for a comfortable grip. One notable design choice is the circular camera layout, reminiscent of its predecessors. This houses its two cameras and an LED flash. And although it lacks a vegan leather option, its matte finish plastic still gives off a metallic vibe.

The button and port layout mirrors that of the realme 12+ 5G, complete with a headphone jack, stereo speakers, and an IP54 rating for added durability.

With a larger 6.72-inch IPS panel, the phone offers an immersive viewing experience. Despite being IPS, it boasts a faster 120Hz refresh rate and a thinner bottom bezel. Our initial experience with the phone also reveals vibrant colors and an impressive brightness range, making for enjoyable multimedia consumption

We experienced smooth scrolling and responsive touch input, too. Meanwhile, with a peak brightness of 950 nits, visibility remains optimal even in bright sunlight, catering to outdoor usage scenarios.
