TCL has officially unveiled its new flagship smartphone lineup at IFA 2026 including the TCL P80 Ultra and TCL P80 Pro
The best feature on both devices is the introduction of the world’s first OLED-based NxtPaper display. This upgrades the TCL’s signature glare-free, paper-like eye-care technology to vibrant self-emissive AMOLED panels.
World’s First AMOLED NxtPaper Display & Hardware NxtPaper Key
Both the P80 Ultra and P80 Pro feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nits peak brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 wide color coverage.
TCL’s new OLED NxtPaper technology c a omesnano-etched anti-glare finish with circular polarization to reduce harmful blue light emission to just 2.9% while eliminating glare under direct sunlight.
Users can instantly switch display profiles using a dedicated physical NxtPaper Slider key on the side frame, cycling between standard color mode, paper-like e-ink color reading mode, and a ultra-low-power Max Ink Mode that delivers up to 7 days of continuous e-reading battery life.
Dimensity 7400 Elite, 50MP 3x Periscope Zoom, and MIL-STD Durability
Under the hood, both flagship models are powered by MediaTek’s custom Dimensity 7400 Elite chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
For photography, the top-tier TCL P80 Ultra debuts a versatile triple-camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a dedicated 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Meanwhile, the P80 Pro retains the same 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide sensors while removing the periscope telephoto lens.
Both models pack a large 5,800mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging, housed within an aluminum frame with IP68 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H shock resistance.
Vanilla TCL P80: Premium AMOLED Panel for Budget Shoppers
Alongside the NxtPaper twins, TCL introduced the standard TCL P80, designed for users who want the high-end 6.83-inch 120Hz 1.5K AMOLED screen without the matte paper texture.
The vanilla P80 shares the Dimensity 7400 Elite platform, 5,800mAh battery, and 50MP dual cameras, starting with 128GB of base storage.
On the software front, the P80 Ultra is promised 4 major OS upgrades and 7 years of security patches, while the P80 Pro and P80 will receive 3 OS updates and 7 years of security patches.
Pricing and Availability
The TCL P80 Ultra starts at €550 for the 8GB/256GB configuration, while the TCL P80 Pro comes in at €450.
For budget-conscious buyers, the standard TCL P80 starts at an accessible €300 for the 8GB/128GB model, with a 256GB upgrade available for just €30 more.
