Acer has officially announced the new Vero 16 at IFA 2026. The Vero line is their sustainable PC design as they combine a repairability-first architecture with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.
The eco-friendly laptop comes with tool-free internal access, user-replaceable parts, and processor upgrade support for at least two generations while cutting environmental impact across its lifecycle.

Repairability-First Architecture with Tool-Free Access and Upgradable CPU
The Acer Vero 16 expands the traditional 3R environmental approach (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) into 4R by adding Repairability.
The chassis features an access latch on the bottom cover that enables easy, tool-free access to components, allowing users to replace both the battery and SSD.
An engraved visual guide on the chassis walks users through maintenance, while detachable hinges and removable side I/O port covers simplify servicing.
The device is engineered to support processor upgrades for at least two generations.
The top and palm-rest covers are crafted from 50% post-industrial recycled (PIR) aluminum and 50% low-carbon aluminum, paired with up to 60% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics and a solvent-free powder-coated finish.
Flagship Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and 180 Platform TOPS
The repairable laptop is driven by up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor 388H paired with up to Intel Arc B390 graphics, up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD.

16-inch 3K OLED Display, Full I/O Ports, and Wi-Fi 7
Up front, the Vero 16 offers up to a 16-inch 3K OLED WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800) display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
Alternative display configurations include a WUXGA OLED touch-enabled panel or non-touch WUXGA OLED.
The laptop features two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB Type-A ports (including USB 3.2 Gen 2 with power-off charging), an HDMI 2.1 port, a full-size SD card reader, and Intel Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.6.
The laptop is powered by a 71 Wh 4-cell fast-charging battery and features a 5MP IR webcam with a built-in physical privacy shutter.
