Apple has officially released iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 to users worldwide today.
The latest operating system updates introduce Siri AI, expanded Apple Intelligence capabilities, upgraded parental controls, and widespread system speed improvements.

In addition to iPhone, iPad, and Mac, Apple has also shipped watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27 to round out its software ecosystem.
Siri AI Debuts with Deep Personal Context and Onscreen Awareness
The main feature of the updates is Siri AI, an entirely new version of Apple’s virtual assistant built on the next generation of Apple Intelligence.
Now rolling out as a beta in English, Siri AI delivers personal context understanding across messages, emails, photos, and apps to help users surface information immediately.

Users can leverage Write with Siri to compose drafts, or use Visual Intelligence to ask Siri questions regarding whatever is displayed on their screen.
A dedicated Siri app also privately syncs conversational history across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch using secure iCloud encryption.
iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 Enhance Multitasking and Safari Intelligence
For iPad users, iPadOS 27 brings enhanced multitasking workflows with up to 5x faster file transfers to external USB storage drives.
Window switching, dragging, and closing have been streamlined, while Visual Intelligence allows users to analyze on-screen documents with simple voice queries.

On Mac, macOS 27 elevates productivity inside Safari with automatic topic-based tab organization and restock alert notifications.
Users can also generate custom Safari extensions simply by typing natural language prompts, making power browsing effortless.

The Photos app receives powerful editing upgrades including Spatial Reframing, Extend, and an improved Clean Up tool that removes unwanted photo elements seamlessly.

Across all three operating systems, Apple has refreshed the visual interface with Liquid Glass, allowing users to customize tint levels directly from Settings.
