Cherry is providing Magnum tablets and AVITA laptops to the City of Manila

In this time of a pandemic, a lot of us are working at home or relying on our mobile devices to get connected or for online schooling and in the City of Manila, Mayor Isko Moreno has announced that the delivery of laptops, tablets, and pocket wifi will start next week for the teachers and students.

The city government will provide pocket wifi to teachers and sim cards with 10GB data allocation monthly for students.

The government will be distributing the Cherry Mobile Magnum 8 and Magnum 10 Android tablets which will have an HD display, Octa-Core processor inside and also LTE, and of course, we’re also getting here a 64GB internal storage and 4GB RAM. These devices aren’t available to the consumers and it is specifically made for the city of Manila.

While for the laptop, it’s the Avita Pura notebook and the variant comes with an AMD A9 processor which is a little bit dated but it’s definitely affordable and then there’s the 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage which is probably an SSD storage.

The prices of these devices were not announced but it’s really nice to see that the government is supporting the local brands in transforming into digital by buying their products.
