Xiaomi is positioning its new Xiaomi Pad 8 Series as a portable study and productivity solution for students, combining high-refresh-rate displays, large batteries, multitasking features, and dedicated accessories designed for digital learning.
The lineup consists of the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, accompanied by the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro and Xiaomi Pad 8 / 8 Pro Keyboard. According to Xiaomi, the devices support activities ranging from attending online lectures and taking handwritten notes to preparing presentations and working with multiple documents.
Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro focuses on performance
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is positioned as the more performance-oriented model in the lineup. Xiaomi says it uses a 3nm process and is designed to handle demanding workloads, including heavy multitasking and creative applications.
The tablet packs a 9,200mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge, which Xiaomi says allows users to study or work for extended periods and quickly recharge between activities.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 8 uses a 4nm process and can balance performance and power efficiency. It also has a 9,200mAh battery, paired with 45W Turbo Charging.
Both tablets measure 5.75mm in thickness and are available in Gray, Blue, and Pine Green.
3.2K 144Hz displays target extended study sessions
Both the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro feature a 3.2K 144Hz display, which Xiaomi says provides clear visuals and smoother scrolling for content such as digital textbooks, PDF documents, and educational videos.
The tablets have quad speakers for audio playback, supporting online lectures, language lessons, and other multimedia content.
Xiaomi HyperAI adds productivity features
The Pad 8 Series also incorporates Xiaomi HyperAI, which Xiaomi says can assist with tasks such as note-taking, summaries, and organization.
The tablets support multi-window workflows, allowing users to work with multiple applications and documents simultaneously. Xiaomi positions these features as providing a PC-like productivity experience while retaining the portability of a tablet.
Focus Pen Pro designed for handwritten notes
The Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro allows digital writing and drawing. It weighs 17.5 grams and features what Xiaomi calls a Golden Balance design.
The stylus supports 16,384 levels of pressure sensitivity and ultra-low latency. It also uses a flexible nib designed to be gentler on the tablet display.
For connectivity and charging, the Focus Pen Pro features magnetic attachment and a 100mAh battery, allowing it to be kept with the tablet when not in use.
Keyboard turns the tablet into a mobile workstation
Xiaomi is also offering the Xiaomi Pad 8 / 8 Pro Keyboard, designed users who need to type essays, reports, and other documents.
The accessory features a 64-key US English layout and a 65-key UK English layout, with support for a comfortable viewing angle when used with the tablet.
Together with the Focus Pen Pro, the keyboard gives students multiple ways to interact with the Pad 8 Series, whether taking handwritten notes or producing longer-form documents.
Xiaomi Pad 8 Series now available in the Philippines
