Android 7.0 Nougat is now out on Nexus devices

Android 7.0 Nougat is finally out and people who bought the selected Nexus device including the Nexus 6p and 5x can finally enjoy the latest version of Android. Android 7.0. As of this posting, the first ones to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update are the Nexus 6p, Nexus 5x, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C and the General Mobile 4G smartphone.

 

Both Android One devices, the Cherry Mobile One and Cherry Mobile One G1 smartphones would also get the update soon too according to our friends from Unbox.

 

So what can we expect from the Android 7.0 Nougat? Well, we can finally multi-task with their multi-window which was first seen in Samsung Galaxy devices and there will be also improvement in Doze which will extend your battery life even more. The notifications of Android 7.0 Nougat has also been improved and it was streamlined and it is very helpful especially if you see a lot of notifications from your smartphones.

 

Google has also updated its security features with file-based encryptions and many more. Gaming has also been improved in Android 7.0 as it will now support Vulkan, a rendering API which will take advantage of the hardware prowess of mobile devices.

 

Regarding availability of Android 7.0 Nougat to other smartphones, well, you still have to wait first. For now, Nexus devices will get the first dibs to the latest Android update while the upcoming LG V20 will be the first smartphone to come out with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
