Foldable iPhone Duo: A 2,000-Dollar Plus Luxury Milestone
Headlining the announcement is Apple’s long-anticipated entry into foldable hardware, developed under the internal codename V68.
While earlier reports referenced the device as the iPhone Ultra or iPhone Fold, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has also floated the iPhone Duo as the official name of Apple’s first foldable phone.
The premium device adopts a wide passport-inspired footprint, featuring a 5.5-inch outer cover screen that unfolds into a 7.8-inch tablet display.
Pricing is expected to start at US$2,000, with top-tier configurations approaching $3,000 due to specialized hinge engineering and memory costs.
Apple Watch Series 12: All-Day Audio Recording and Ceramic Return
Apple’s wearable family will receive meaningful internal enhancements with the introduction of the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.
Gurman reports that Apple has been developing an all-day voice recording and ambient capture feature designed for meeting transcription and quick voice notes.
The Series 12 is also expected to mark the return of premium ceramic casing options in elegant white and dark gray finishes.
Under the hood, a new S12 processor will deliver the wearable’s first substantial processing speed bump in several generations alongside continuous heart rate tracking and hypertension risk screening.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max: 2nm A20 Pro and Variable Aperture Optics
For traditional smartphone flagships, Apple will showcase the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max powered by the next-generation 2nm A20 Pro chip.
The Pro models are expected to debut Apple’s custom in-house Apple C2 5G modem alongside a mechanical variable aperture primary camera system on the Pro Max.
Design refinements include narrower display borders and refined titanium finishes, led by new Dark Cherry and Sky-Blue hero colorways.
To give the foldable flagship and Pro series maximum market focus, Apple has reportedly shifted the standard base iPhone 18 launch to Spring 2027.
AirPods 5 Refresh and Fall Launch Strategy
Audio accessories will also share the spotlight with the rollout of the entry-level AirPods 5 family.
Apple plans to offer two distinct variants: a standard affordable model and an upgraded version featuring Active Noise Cancellation.
This dual-tier strategy aims to replace both the legacy AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 with a unified, modern aesthetic.
Together, these launches form an ambitious autumn hardware portfolio aimed at driving consumer upgrades across every major ecosystem category.
