Apple has officially introduced the latest Mac Studio with the new M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips. The Mac Studio is designed for professionals and for those people who wants to get more from their Macs. This new Mac comes with some new features including Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, bigger unified memory capacity, and of course, AI.
The new Mac Studio comes with the M4 Max and M3 Ultra, these new chips from Apple support for up to 512GB of unified memory which is essential for LLM and AI as well. Whether for content creation, video editing, or AI model training, the new Mac Studio is perfect for that.
The new Mac Studio with M4 Max offers up to following specifications
- 16-core CPU
- 40-core GPU with Apple’s advanced graphics architecture
- 16-core Neural Engine
- Up to 128GB of unified memory
- Neural Engine 3x faster than M1 Max
While for the M3 Ultra variant, this will be more powerful as this one comes with the following specificaitons:
- 32-core CPU with 24 performance cores
- 80-core GPU for ultra-fast graphics performance
- Up to 512GB of unified memory
- 32-core Neural Engine optimized for AI and machine learning
While you might be a little be confused with the numbers, the M3 Ultra will be the better one as it offers more CPU, Neural, and GPU Core count and then there’s the faster Unified memory as well which is perfect for AI and LLMs.
