The two new Nexus devices were officially announced earlier today and just like its former brothers, the new Nexus lineup will still be powerful but it will still be more affordable than most smartphones in the market. Both smartphones pack a specifications that can really match up the specifications of those flagship smartphones in the market but these are more affordable and these phones already comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Nexus 5x

Their most affordable smartphone this year is the Nexus 5X. The design is very familiar because it resembles the design of the Nexus 5 which was release two years ago but this time, it comes with a lot of new features. The Nexus 5x is powered by a Snapdragon 808 which is the same processor used by the LG G4, 5.2-inch Full HD display, 2GB of RAM which some people might find smaller than most flagship today, 16/32/64GB storage options and it’s not expandable, 12.3MP camera with 1.55µm pixel size and it can take amazing shots with its camera according to google, 5MP Front Camera, fingerprint sensor at the back, USB Type C which is introduced in Android 6.0, 2700mAh and of course, it’s running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Nexus 5x starts at $379 which is around P17,800 in our currency. But of course, don’t expect that we could get this smartphone at that price.

Nexus 6P

Nexus 6P

Aside from the Nexus 5x, Google has also announced their successor to the Nexus 6 and it will be the Nexus 6P which is made by Huawei. I don’t know what the P stands for but all I can say is the Nexus 6P is beautiful inside and out. The hardware powering this device is powerful (and maybe P on its name stands for powerful) and still, the Nexus 6P is still beautiful and it can match the price of most flagship smartphones in the market.

The Nexus 6P will be running on a faster Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor, a 5.7-inch AMOLED QHD display which is smaller than its predecessor, 3GB of RAM, 32/64/128GB of storage, 12.3MP camera with 1.55µm pixel, 8MP front camera, Fingerprint sensor, USB Type C, a juicier 3,450mAh battery and of course, it’s running on Android 6.0.

The Nexus 6P starts at $499 which is around P23,400 in our currency. Not that bad. I hope that someone could bring these  smartphones to the country.
