HUAWEI has officially introduced the Pura X Max, a new foldable smartphone that brings a larger display, stylus support, and a design that is expected to be the similar form factor of the upcoming iPhone Fold.
The HUAWEI Pura X Max features a 5.4-inch cover display and a 7.7-inch inner display, making it significantly larger than the standard Pura X. The device adopts a wider aspect ratio offering a better experience unlike other foldables.
Compared to its predecessor, the Pura X Max is also thinner and more refined, measuring just 11.2mm when folded and 5.2mm when unfolded. Despite the larger size, the device maintains a relatively slim and modern profile.
Stylus Support and Accessory Ecosystem
One of the best features of the HUAWEI Pura X Max is stylus support via the Huawei M-Pen 3 Mini, allowing users to write, draw, and annotate.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chipset. It is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, running on HarmonyOS 6.1. The chipset is cooled by a combination of a vapor chamber and a graphene sheet for sustained performance.
Triple Rear Camera With Variable Aperture
The camera system features a 50MP main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 12.5MP ultra-wide camera. All three rear cameras use RYYB sensors and the setup is processed through Huawei’s XMAGE imaging system with a second-generation color sensor. There are also dual 8MP front cameras, one on each display, primarily for video calls.
Battery and Durability
Battery capacity is rated at 5,300mAh, with support for 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. The HUAWEI Pura X Max also comes with an aluminum alloy frame, second-generation Kunlun glass protection, and upgraded IP58/IP59 water and dust resistance.

The HUAWEI Pura X Max is currently available in China, with pricing starting at CNY 11,000 (approximately USD 1,615) for the 12GB/256GB base model. Higher configurations go up to CNY 14,000 (approximately USD 2,055) for the 16GB/1TB variant.
