Leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming flagship indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will have a major camera layout overhaul. According to newly surfaced 3D CAD renders, the next-generation Ultra handset might ditch its traditional floating lens array in favor of a unified camera plateau.

iPhone-Style Camera Island with 5x Telephoto and LED Flash Pill Cutout

Shared by noted leaker Ice Universe, the CAD render features a camera island similar to the iPhone 17 Pro smartphones. The setup features two standalone circular cutouts alongside a third camera sensor housed inside a vertical pill-shaped cutout with the LED flash. This is likely to be an upgraded 5x telephoto camera replacing the previous 3x telephoto sensor.
Triple-Rear Camera Setup Replaces the Quad-Sensor System

There were leaks before that says that Samsung plans to streamline the Galaxy S27 Ultra to a triple-rear camera system. Consolidating the sensors into a dedicated plateau allows Samsung to incorporate larger, more powerful optical hardware while keeping chassis thickness just fine.
