Nothing Ear (3a) Launched: Specs, Price, and Features in Canada

Nothing has officially unveiled its newest set of affordable wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear (3a). The earbuds are now available starting today, with a price tag of US$99. They can be purchased directly from Nothing’s official website and select retail partners.

The biggest addition to the Nothing Ear (3a) is its onboard storage capability, which enables some creative new features. Packed with 32MB of built-in flash storage, these earbuds allow you to record audio directly from the stems.

With a simple pinch gesture, the “Audio Snapshot” feature acts like a screenshot for sound, saving up to one minute of audio. Additionally, you can record active phone calls or meetings directly to the buds, which automatically syncs to the Nothing X app.

Larger 12mm Drivers and Upgraded ANC

On the hardware side, Nothing has upgraded the audio components. The earbuds pack larger 12mm dynamic drivers that produce deeper, punchier bass and clearer high notes. The wideband Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) has been boosted to block out up to 45dB of noise. The adaptive ANC automatically adjusts its strength based on the environmental sound around you.

The Nothing Ear (3a) continues the brand’s signature transparent aesthetic with a rounder case shape inspired by pill packaging. For the first time, it is available in a striking new Pink color option, alongside Yellow, White, and Black.

The case also introduces a new 1×3 LED status light to display battery life and pairing info. We found the battery life to be excellent, offering up to 42 hours of total playback time with ANC turned off.
