Rockstar Games has recently announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will now be released on May 26, 2026, moving from its previously anticipated fall 2025 launch. According to the company, the delay is needed to deliver the best quality and expectations for the game.
GTA VI Set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, and featuring the return of Vice City. GTA VI introduces Lucia, the franchise’s first female protagonist, alongside her male partner, Jason in a story reminiscent of Bonnie and Clyde.
The first trailer was released in December 2023 and it has garnered over 100 million views in less than 24 hours.
GTA VI is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
