Playstation 2 was the best selling game console ever and until now, many of its fans are still playing Playstation 2 games whether on the console itself or emulators. Well, Playstation fans might get excited over this news because a PS4 was able to run PS2 games.
And yes, it is available right now because Sony and EA have a PS4 bundle of Star Wars: Battlefront that comes with Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, Star Wars Racer: Revenge and Super Star Wars. Those games that were bundled along with Star Wars: Battlefront are PS2-era games and they’re available in a download code.
The Dualshock 4’s touchpad were also mapped as select and start buttons and the PS2 logos appear when you launch the game which means that these aren’t remastered games but a local emulation of PS2 games.
