ASUS ROG Phone 5’s audio was benchmarked by DxO Mark

0

Looks like the guys at DxOMark was able to test a unit of the still unannounced ASUS ROG Phone 5. Yep, the smartphone hasn’t been launched and yet, DxOMark still managed to test out a lot of things including a benchmark for its audio.

The benchmark by DxOMark has confirmed that the ASUS ROG Phone 5 will definitely come with Snapdragon 888 5G Chipset inside and since we’re getting here an audio benchmark, they’ve also confirmed that it will come with Symmetrical dual front-facing speakers on the top and bottom of the smartphone. It will also come with Dirac tuning technology including frequency response correction and virtual bass technology. But what surprised me is that the smartphone comes with 3.5mm headphone jack with ESS DAC again.

All in all, the DxOMark team was impressed with its audio as the ROG Phone 5 delivers the best audio performance in all of their smartphones that was tested to date. This makes sense as audio is a essential part in creating a good gaming smartphone.

The ASUS ROG Phone 5 is expected to launch this March 10.

moto g 5G plus is the 5G smartphone for all

0

5G is probably the biggest thing in smartphone tech this year, and a lot of people are craving for that feature on their smartphones. Thankfully, 5G smartphones are getting more affordable this year —  among them is the moto g 5G plus — and there are many reasons to like this smartphone.

It’s one of the most affordable 5G smartphones

The moto g 5G plus is one of the best mid-range smartphones out there right now. Why? Because this one comes with 5G thanks to its Snapdragon 765 processor inside, which is not only capable of running 5G but also powerful that it can compete with most premium mid-range smartphones out there in the market.

Quad-Cam System

The moto g 5G plus doesn’t compromise when it comes to lenses as we got here a quad-cam system on the rear, with a 48MP main camera along with an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. And for the front cameras, there’s the dual-selfie camera with a 16MP main selfie camera and also an 8MP ultrawide selfie that you can use for group photos, which is great as there are only a few smartphones that have this.

Large 6.7-inch display for multimedia

One of the things that we always do on our smartphones is that we watch Netflix and also vlogs on YouTube, and we always prefer watching on larger displays. Aside from that, the larger displays are also perfect for playing games since we need bigger displays with Full HD+ resolution, which the moto g 5G plus has, to have a crisp and better gameplay experience.

We’ve also tried running 5G on the moto g 5G plus and we were pretty happy with the speeds we got on the smartphone thanks to the Snapdragon 765 5G processor inside it. We used Smart 5G on the smartphone and we got speeds of up to 150Mbps in Makati which is pretty great.

We were able to get 94Mbps in Paranaque!

With this speed, I can download apps and update games faster than my 4G+ connection on other smartphones and to be honest with you guys, this speed is even faster than the internet speed at my home!

Long battery life

All these features will be useless if you can’t use your smartphone the whole day, and thankfully with the moto g 5G plus, you get a 5000mAh battery which will be enough for a day of usage even if you have 5G and a Snapdragon 765 inside.

So if you want a 5G smartphone, then the moto g 5G plus might be a good choice for you as this one comes with a powerful Snapdragon 765 processor with 5G and the best part about it is the price of only PHP 16,995, which makes the smartphone ultrafast for all. If you don’t have a 5G smartphone yet, the moto g 5G plus is a good upgrade for you.

The moto g 5G plus is now available in the market and you can purchase it at the Lenovo Mobile Official Store in Lazada here: https://www.lazada.com.ph/shop/lenovo-mobile-official-store/

Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro Review

0

There are a lot of smartwatches that are available in the market already and some of them are really affordable but there are a few number of smartwatches that are premium and still jampacked with the features that we want on a smartwatch like the Huawei GT 2 Pro. This is very similar to the Huawei Watch GT 2 series that is now available in the market but this one comes in a more premium package.

First, let’s talk about the design of this one. It comes with a premium and solid build as the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro comes with a sapphire glass for the watch dial which is really premium and solid and I actually bump it to a lot of walls and it didn’t show any scratches or dents on the display.

I can say the same for the titanium body of the watch. It’s solid and it’s really premium and it’s really comparable to the premium  and expensive watches that is out on the market right now. The combination of the titanium and the sapphire makes the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro feature a classic look that is perfect whether you’re just going out or you’re wearing a suit.

As for the back of the watch, we still got here the sensors that we need for the features that we’re gonna talk about later but the back of the watch is made up of ceramic back which again, is really premium compared to the competition. The three materials that was mainly used for the watch says out the quality that we’re getting in here – solid, premium, and elegant.

There are also two buttons on the side of the watch with the upper button lets us access the menu of the watch while the other one is a programmable button in where you can launch an app depending on the one that is programmed in the Huawei health app.

As for the display, we got her ea 1.39-inch OLED display and as expected, the display is good and it’s really vibrant and we can actually see the display even under direct sunlight. The touchscreen is also responsive so I really didn’t had any problems with it. There’s an always-on display too so you don’t need to turn on the watch in case you need to check the time.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro also comes with a silicone band that feels like rubber but it’s no cheap material as this one goes well even on a formal suit. I actually love it as I didn’t had any irritations to the skin but I notice that there are some white residues due to sweat but you can clean it after a while.

Since the back of the watch doesn’t have contact points, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro can only be charged via wireless charging. There’s an included wireless charger meant for the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro and you’ll barely use it as I can get  10-12 days of battery life without the always-on display and a week on always-on display.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro features that same software that we can find on other Huawei Watch GT devices which means that this one won’t come with 3rd party app support which is a bummer but don’t worry because this one does have a lot of features that we all need on a Smartwatch.

First, we need the Huawei Health App to work with this watch. Then you can check out the different features that we have on the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro including workout that covers a lot already including indoor activities. There’s a new feature too on the Watch GT 2 Pro called the golf driving range mode in where it can analyze your swing posture and provide data to improve your swing in golf. I’m not a golfer but this is a nice feature that golfers would really love on the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro.

As for the tracking, we can track a lot here as we got here a heart rate sensor, Sp02, stress tracker, sleep tracking, Air Pressure, Compass, and even VO2max for workouts. There’s a GPS inside this watch too which is a plus for runners or bikers as they can track their workouts in the Huawei Health app. As expected, the workout modes and the sensors work pretty well and they’re pretty good.

One of the reasons why we have a good tracking feature on this one is the usage of Kirin A1 processor inside which means that the sensors can work perfectly and the software would run fine on the smartwatch. This is also the reason why we have a really good battery life on the Huawei Watch GT 2 pro.

Despite having a silicone strap and experiencing some white residues on the watch, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro comes with a water resistance of 5 ATM which means that this one comes can be worn even in the shower or just washing your hands.

Verdict

There are a lot of Huawei Watch that are available in the market and they come in the same software but what sets this Huawei Watch different from the others is that this one is premium and it goes well whatever you wear. It comes with a sapphire glass, titanium build, and a ceramic back. Those materials can be mostly found on expensive watches but thankfully, we can now get one in a affordable smartwatch in the form of the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro.

The battery life of this one is also great and as expected, the sensors work pretty well and the tracking on the application is really good. However, there’s still a lack of 3rd party support here but honestly, I don’t need to use those 3rd party apps as the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro already works perfectly fine for me.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is now available for Php11,999.
