Xiaomi has been blacklisted by the United States Government

0

The US government under the Trump administration has added Xiaomi in their investment blacklist which means that along with the other companies in their list, Americans will not be able to invest in in them including Xiaomi. According to the US Government, this is due to the ties of the company to the Chinese military.

This one would be different from Huawei as the ban from Xiaomi as this is not a ban coming from the Department of Commerce of United States which will mean that chips and the GMS license won’t be available to Xiaomi anymore. For now, this will definitely affect on how Xiaomi operates  but let’s hope that this won’t escalate even further.

Xiaomi has also released a statement regarding the issue:

Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Unveiled, features a better camera and a new bold design

0

Samsung has finally launched the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G series and finally, they’ve refined a lot of features that are needed to be fixed including the brand new Exynos processors which are now based on Cortex cores and also a camera that is a lot better compared to the previous generation.

One of the biggest changes that was made by Samsung in the Galaxy S21 series is the design. We now have a different camera module design as this one looks like it is connected to the sides of the smartphone that looks pretty to me personally. But just like the predecessor, we still got here the protruding camera module which annoys some people especially on the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

As for the design, it still looks premium with the Samsung Galaxy S21+ 5G and the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G featuring a more premium glass and metal design while the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G only features a plastic back which is a little bit off considering that this is a flagship smartphone but make no mistake, the feel of the plastic of the smartphone doesn’t feel cheap.

As for the display, we still got here the Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on all of the smartphones with Infinity-O display but unfortunately, the Galaxy S21 5G and the Galaxy S21+ 5G only packs a Full HD+ resolution which is a downgrade and they have a flat panel while the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G features a slightly curved glass on the side and a better WQHD+ Panel. Thankfully, all of the smartphones packs a 120Hz refresh rate but the Galaxy S21 and S21+ can only go down to 48Hz while the Galaxy S21 ultra can go down to 10Hz for better power efficiency.

For the camera the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G and S21+ 5G does have a similar setup compared to the predecessor. These smartphones packs a 64MP telephoto lens, 12MP ultra wide lens, and a 12MP wide lens with 10MP selfie camera.

While the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G features a 108MP wide angle lens, 12MP ultra wide lens, 10MP telephoto lens 10x, and 10MP telephoto lens 3x. This combination of lenses makes it possible to have the smartphone have a better mid-range and long-range shots including a lot better auto-focus and 100x zoom on the smartphone.

As expected, it will have new features including a better single take mode thanks to the better AI of the smartphone and then there’s the Director View which gives you a live view of different lenses of the smartphone.

The best part about the Samsung Galaxy S21 series is that the smartphone now packs Exynos 2100 which is leap from the previous generation as this one uses the Cortex cores instead of the Mongoose ones which is the culprit behind its lagging performance and increasing temperatures. We may finally see the Exynos 2100 lead or compete with other leading chipsets.

Other exciting features in the smartphone includes Ultrawideband that lets you connect it with other devices with similar Ultra wideband including the Samsung Smart Tag and of course, it will also let you locate your other Galaxy and smart devices as long as it supports it.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Series starts at Php47,990 for the Galaxy S21 5G while for the Galaxy S21+ 5G, it is priced at Php58,990 with both of them running on 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While the best of em’ all, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is priced at Php69,990.
