Future ASUS ROG notebooks will have a 4K OLED display option

0

When it comes to display, having a 120Hz display or more is really essential for gaming as you can have a bigger advantage compared to your enemies especially on FPS games like PUBG, Apex Legends, and Fortnite but for those people  but for some people, they would prefer having an OLED display due to the accurate and vivid colors of the display and better blacks and during Computex 2019 at the ASUS booth, we’ve seen the first ASUS ROG notebook to sport a 4K OLED display.

Well, it isn’t the first display to sport an OLED panel as Razer has done it too with their Razer 15. Unfortunately, the OLED display is capped at 60Hz refresh rate so you won’t get the same smoothness and feel of the 240Hz panels on most ROG Notebooks. But hey, at least we’re getting an OLED display which is the choice for some people.

The 4K OLED display will arrive first on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S and selected future models will also have the option to have a 4K OLED display.

ASUS ROG Strix XG17 Portable Monitor: The monitor for gamers on the go

0

One of the products that I personally love from ASUS is their portable monitors and in a surprising move, ASUS ROG has launched the ASUS ROG Strix XG17, newest portable monitor for those people who are always on the go. It’s the perfect accessory for those who want to play games or for those streamers who want to have an external monitor that they can bring anywhere with a really silky smooth 240Hz display.

The ASUS ROG STRIX XG17 comes with a 17.3-inch IPS Full HD panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time which is the fastest on a portable display in the world and this means that this portable monitor is really perfect for gaming.

The ASUS ROG Strix XG17 is pretty light too at 800 grams with a built-in battery that can support 3 hours of battery at 240Hz refresh rate on a single charge with support for fast-charging.

But of course, if you want to use the monitor for normal usage then you can opt for a lower refresh rate thanks to its adaptive-sync technology which will help to improve the battery life of the portable monitor.
