Sexy and unmatched design
The OPPO Find X is available in two variants that offers a gradient color — Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. The OPPO Find X also comes with a glass build on both sides and they perfectly fit my hand thanks to its curves
The Panoramic arc screen
The display of the smartphone is probably my most favorite one about the OPPO Find X. There’s a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio and good lord, the display of the smartphone is really vivid and awesome. There’s the curved sides too which might turn off some people but damn, it does really look good.
Stealth 3D Camera
The Stealth 3D camera is the most awesome feature of the smartphone. Some might not like it due to the moving parts but when you use it, you would definitely feel that the sliding mechanism of the smartphone is really solid and OPPO really did a good job on this oneIt’s Powerful
The OPPO Find X is powered by Snapdragon 845 processor and then there’s the 8GB RAM and all I can say is that the OPPO Find X is extremely powerful. You won’t have any problems running anything on this smartphone. Boom.
Large storage
Aside from the large 8GB RAM of the smartphone, there’s a 256GB of memory too that can house your apps, games and other multimedia needs and damn, I’m pretty sure that the 256GB of storage will be more than enough for most people.
So there you have it! If you want to see the OPPO Find X for yourself, you can check it out at OPPO stores and kiosks nationwide. The OPPO Find X is now available for Php49,990.

It’s powered by the latest Intel Core i7-8750 processor and also a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, and a 144Hz display. Yep, I know, it’s amazing that ASUS managed to fit that hardware inside a notebook this thin.
So how did ASUS did that? Well, they’ve improved their cooling system thanks to the ROG Active Aerodynamic System.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX531 uses an aluminum and magnesium alloys for its chassis to achieve a balance in strength and weight. It also packs a 15.6-inch display with 144Hz display in its 14.2-inch chassis which gives only a small footprint for the Zephyrus S.

In 5 minutes, you can do a lot of things. We are already living in a fast-pace lifestyle and every minute is already special to all of us. In the tech world, 5 minutes is gold. You can do a lot of things. You can send 5 emails if you can send emails in less than a minute, you can watch some short YouTube clip in 5 minutes, and a lot more.
In terms of internet speed, you can download a 1.5GB of a file if you have a theoretical speed of 42mbps on your mobile data and you can even have more than that if you have a faster fibre internet at your home or office.
When it comes to charging, a 5-minute charging of a smartphone will only give you a small amount of juice and it won’t probably last more than an hour of talk time.
I know, not much of juice can be charged in 5 minutes but with OPPO’s latest smartphone, the OPPO F9, it is expected that the smartphone can have a 2-hour talk time by just charging for 5 minutes.
According to OPPO, the VOOC Flash Charge of the OPPO F9 will give you a 5V/4A charging which is 4x faster than the conventional 5V/1A charging of most smartphones, not only that, it will also give you 5 layers of protection so you don’t have to worry about breaking your smartphone.
This feature is really useful especially when you wake up in the morning and you forgot to charge your smartphone. 2 hours of talk time is already enough to last up for half a day as long as you won’t use your smartphone that much.
The OPPO F9’s VOOC Flash Charge is also interesting as we’ve been craving for a fast charging on the smartphone since the OPPO F3 Plus. So yeah, we’re really excited for the VOOC Flash Charge that made a comeback on the OPPO F9.
When it comes to the best hardware for its price, we all know that Xiaomi is the best brand for that. Most of their fans also praise the Redmi Note series as these are the smartphones that are powerful enough for a mid-range smartphone but it also features a price that can really compete against the market. Today, we will review the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, one of the most popular midrange smartphone of the Chinese company.
Hardware and Design
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has a solid build. It’s a little bit bulky to the hands but it really has a solid feel and thanks to the metal build quality of the smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 does feel premium to the hand.
The volume rocker and the power button of the smartphone are placed on the right side while the hybrid sim card tray is placed on the opposite side. The smartphone still features a micro USB port instead of USB-C and then there’s the 3.5mm headphone jack beside it along with the speaker grill.
One of the best things about the smartphone is its battery because the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a large 4000mAh of battery which is why the smartphone is a bit bulky compared to other smartphones despite having an 18:9 display aspect ratio.
The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner at the back and I really had no problem using It as it was really fast even when the screen is off however, the disappointing part here is that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 doesn’t have a face unlock which is more convenient for most people.
Display
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 packs a decent 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 display aspect ratio as expected, the smartphone doesn’t have a thick bezel and we do have a rounded corners that adds an eyecandy to the smartphone.
When it comes to display quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 does have a nice display with a pretty good colors and the viewing angles are really good. The display of the smartphone is actually great especially for its price.
Battery Life
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has a pretty good battery for a mid-range smartphone. It has a 4000mAh battery inside which more than most mid-range smartphone at its price range. Most of the time, the smartphone lasts up to a day of use or more than a day of usage.
In our PC Mark test, we were actually pretty happy with the results that I got as we got a score of 11 hours 14 minutes which is pretty good not only for its segment but also for its price.
Software and Perfomance
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features Android 8.1 on MIUI 9. What I like about it is despite having a heavy skinning on the smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 still managed to have a fast and silky smooth navigation on the smartphone. When it comes to user interface, the smartphone is pretty user friendly and you won’t have any problems navigating through it even when you’re coming from an iPhone or other Android smartphones.
When it comes to performance, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 really shines as the smartphone packs a Snapdragon 636 processor inside and in our review unit, we got a 32GB of internal storage and also a 3GB of RAM. In our test, we were really happy that we got a score of 115114 in Antutu.
When it comes to gaming, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 does fare well as the smartphone can run NBA 2k18 at high settings and also PUBG Mobile at balanced settings with high framerate. The smartphone can really handle most gaming stuff and yeah, then Snapadragon 636 processor inside the smartphone is definitely one of the best mid-range processor out there.
3DMark
Camera
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 got a 12MP+5MP dual lens rear camera and also a 13-megapixel front camera. The smartphone is also boasting AI which lets you have a better beautification and shots on the smartphone. My take? The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 does have a decent camera especially for its price. Check out the shots that I took using the smartphone.

Verdict
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is definitely one of the best if not the best mid-range smartphone out there. It has a decent processor inside, the build quality of the smartphone is great, the camera was fine and most importantly, the battery of the smartphone was really good.
But of course, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 got some competition in its price range including the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 but if you’re fine with its battery then the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be just fine for you.
OPPO will launch their newest smartphone this week, the OPPO F9. The company has been teasing the smartphone for weeks now and the smartphone was teased to have the VOOC Flash Charge and a gradient color design which is a trend on smartphones these days.
Not only that, the OPPO F9 will also have a new Full HD+ waterdrop display that sports a really small notch at the top and this smartphone features a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. Which offers a more immersive view.
The VOOC charging of the OPPO F9 is promising that the 5-minute charge of the smartphone can give you up to 2-hour talk thanks to its 5V/4A configuration which gives 4x faster charging than the conventional 5V/1A. But don’t worry, the smartphone ensures a fast charge with safe charge and low temperature.
